Paul Serwatka Not Communicating with Lakewood Constituents, Has He Reisigned As Village President?

Paul Serwatka

It’s been a long time since Lakewood Village President Paul Serwatka has sent an email to constituents telling what’s happening in the village his slate took control of just over a year ago.

There used to be about two emails a month.

None for the last few months.

And there are reports that a moving trucks were at his home the end of last week.

= = = = =
Received an email from Serwatka on Tuesday saying he had not resigned and that he had not received emails from me. That he did not receive my email is possible because he changed addresses at some point and sometimes I send them to the wrong address.

Paul Serwatka Not Communicating with Lakewood Constituents, Has He Reisigned As Village President? — 29 Comments

  1. A great loss for McHenry County if he’s out.

He’s one of the very few McHenry county politicos that could be counted on to stand up for the taxpayer.

I like him for calling Bobby Miller a crook to his face … and that was in 2015!

  2. Sunshine blogger, we need a 127-part post on the previous Village of Lakewood newsletter to give our aspiring GQ model enough time to report back about his great accomplishments to us, his undergolfed, overwhelmed, overtaxed, over-suffering, over-oppressed, family-values, compassionate conservative base of followers. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meow, meeeeeoooooowwwwwww…

  3. Paul, don’t leave bc of Franks’ threats!

You brought common sense to Lakewood.

Don’t let it slide back into the chaos of petty idiots and tax pigs.

  4. Wouldn’t surprise me one iota.
Illinois is a lost cause, nothing worth spending your precious time and resources on.

Perhaps Paul has come to terms with this and wants to get out before it’s too late.

When Jumbo Boy Pritzker takes over (and he will beat RINO Rauner) it will be the last nail in the coffin of this
    once great state.

From The Land Of Lincoln to The Land Of Leaving, courtesy of the DEMOCRATS and their conga line
    of useful idiots.

  5. Why did McHenry county grow in population if there is a max exodus. Oh that’s right Fake news again

  6. We need a wave of undocumented immigrants to bring a renewed attitude of hard work to replace the whining compassionate conservatives who are leaving the state…not really, as long as my sunshine blogger is here, this is a great county and state to be proud of. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meow, meeeeeoooooowwwwwwwwwww…

  7. Like any good blogger and remarkable journalist, for the sake of credibility, our sunshine blogger is very careful about keeping a firewall distance from elected officials, especially those associated with the republikkklan party. I know, I know, free lunch and dinner is a totally different animal, but you all know what I mean…162 days…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  8. Need to work on grammar. This article is painful to read.

Perhaps he has left as the amount of police presence on 47 has greatly increased recently between 176 and the quarry. They’re probably not safely covering the village.

  9. I can’t believe he’d have left and not said “Goodbye” or that somebody would not be making sure that everyone and their brother knew about it. 😉

That said, IF he has left, it’s a shame.

He appears to be one of those rare politicos who says what he’ll do and does what he says.

We need more like him, not less.

  10. The Liberal idiots from Chicago may have moved to McHenry county looking to escape the Liberally run trap, but they’re not smart enough to know they have to abandon Democrats and thier policies or they will ruin our county (the very county these idiots are looking to find refuge in!)
Yes Cindy, Pacco is an idiot.

  11. Wow this blog really has become an absolute tabloid.

When I have a question for Paul, I pick up the phone and call him. Works every time.

Cal, you have known Paul for years. You have his phone number. If you have a concern, why not call him ask?

As far as the emailing goes, you know you are two steps away from being entirely illiterate when it comes to email. You commonly don’t respond to emails stating that you never received them. You also very commonly send emails to incorrect email addresses. All the more reason for you to pick up a phone if you have a question. But then again if you’re just looking for tabloid headlines, this is probably the way to go…

  12. More respect for this sunshine blog please! This is the shining city of the journalism hill…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…

  13. May I suggest someone could stop in at the village hall in Lakewood and inquire as to the name of the current village president?

  14. And Paul could have answered my email question as to whether he had resigned…but he didn’t.

So, I filed a Freedom of Information request.

Or, he could have sent out a mass email saying that he was moving…but he didn’t.

Or he could have made his intention of moving in a Facebook post, but he hasn’t been on Facebook for about a month, one who gets his posts has told me.

Meeting with neighbors tonight, we decided to attend the June 12th meeting.

  15. Lakewood is a joke and should not be a separate municipality from Crystal Lake.

    Its a failed community.

It is essentially an overtaxed Crystal Lake suburb.

Can someone start the process of consolidation?

  16. Cal has responded right away to every e-mail I have sent him.

It may not have been the answer I wanted but he replied.

  17. I believe we actually have a lower overall tax burden than Crystal Lake… I don’t have the facts in front of me, but maybe somebody on here does?

  18. I like the idea of consolidation. Any thoughts on my proposal of consolidating the villages of Lakewood and Carpentersville? After all, the populations are homogeneous; all are human beings and sunshine commenters never see race. I assume our aspiring GQ magazine cover model will enthusiastically support this. Who else is for it? I yield the floor. Tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock…
