According to the Cary Elementary School District 26, each unionized employee pays $37.56 in each of the eighteen pay periods in dues to the Illinois Education Association.

Regardless of income, each employee pays the same amount.

That’s amounts to $676 for the 2017-18 school year.

Total payments to the union on behalf of the 188 employees amount to $125,482.17.

Employees who notify the school district of their desire to stop paying such dues will get a pretty immediate increase in take-home pay.
