How Trump Could Send Message of Government Waste

Adam Andrzejewski, founder and CEO of has come up with an idea of how to send Congress a message on pork.

Here is his email:

While the nation was distracted by the political theater around immigration before the July 4 recess, the Senate cast a critical vote killing a very modest attempt offered by President Trump to rein in spending.

f Trump plays his cards right, this will not be the end of a fight but its start.
The package in dispute was a $15 billion rescission or spending cut package the president presented to Congress in May. Very little of Trump’s package were true cuts.
We’ve learned that taking on individual targets like the Bridge to Nowhere can be a more productive strategy than proposing across the board cuts or offering multiple cuts at once.
Our initial vote to eliminate funding for the bridge failed 82-15 but we won in the court of public opinion.
Trump may find that picking more targeted fights can turn the tide and produce big savings.
Rather than stand down, Trump should stay on offense and send even more cuts to Congress.
There is no shortage of potential savings in today’s bloated federal budget.
Consider what we exposed in our recent report about federal grants entitled “Where’s the Pork?”:
  • Tai Chi for the Elderly – Nearly $700,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services funded tai chi classes at a center for the elderly in Boston.
  • Space Racers: An Animated Children’s Cartoon – $2.5 million in NASA funding supported the production of two seasons of a children’s cartoon series about galactic adventures.
  • Sex Ed for Prostitutes in California – $1.5 million funded “safer sex and needle” education for prostitutes in California even though prostitution is illegal in the state.
Our recent oversight report, Where’s the Pork?, details 50 examples of wasteful federal grants. Read the entire report here.

How Trump Could Send Message of Government Waste — 14 Comments

  1. In early 2016, the inept President Obama, who agreed to a bad nuke deal with Iran, sent $1.7 Billion IN CASH to the leading terrorist nation of the world, Iran.

  2. For many years prior to the current U.S. President, the U.S. taxpayers paid way more than the U.S. fair share to protect Europe via NATO. It has amounted to many, many billions of dollars each year because most European Nations were not contributing their fair share of 2 percent of their GDP’s.

We finally have a President that is standing up for all of we U.S. taxpayers by nudging/demanding that ALL European Nations pay their fair share of 2 percent of their own GDP in order to fund and pay for NATO for THEIR own defense.

  3. Trump leads by example in running his White House with fewer staff and thus less salary expense. He leads by taking no salary for his presidential job. The previous president, Obama, who did have the financial capability to take no salary chose to burden U.S. taxpayers with his salary.

As of July of last year, Trump had 110 fewer employees than did Obama in his first year. Also, Trump’s wife only had 5 staffers for First Lady Office duties vs 24 staffers somehow needed and justified by the wife of President Obama.

Refer to following article by Adam Andrzejewshi in July, 2017:

  4. dentbla is an outright liar!

…”The total cost of President Donald Trump’s travel expenses — including trips to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, and Bedminster, N.J. golf club — has now surpassed $13.5 million, according to a report by Judicial Watch.”…

Taken from a CNBC site no less!

  5. **In early 2016, the inept President Obama, who agreed to a bad nuke deal with Iran, sent $1.7 Billion IN CASH to the leading terrorist nation of the world, Iran.**

That… it not actually what happened. Good try though.

  6. Can anyone say anything good about Trump without mentioning Obama, or Hillary?

  7. Our President Trump was elected by We The People, to expose and clear out the Corrupt Government that we have been subject to,

He is an Original with a Common Sense Style, that some can not comprehend, but be assured, He does know what he is doing, and has the backing of We The People.

  8. dentbla?
    Trump is patriotic.
    Trump is honorable.
    Trump is a conqueror.
    Trump is determined.
    Trump is dependable.
    Trump is a family man.
Trump is a man of faith.
    Trump is trustworthy.
    Need I go on?

  9. The fear the politicians in DC have of Russian interference has nothing to do with the election.

They talk about the integrity of the election but fight over voter ID.

Politicians are terrified that the truth about selling out of our country to foreign powers will come to light.

The corruption in DC is hidden away and they will do anything to keep it that way.

Don’t be fooled, this is nothing but a snow job.

  10. I loved the live interview where Putin put the screws to Clinton. LOL
