On Saturday, the Northwest Herald Editorial Board (Jim Ringness, Jon Styf, Eric Olson, Kyle Nabors and Hannah Prokop) gave a “Thumbs-down” to those on the Algonquin Township Board who refused to put a referendum on the ballot concerning putting the Township Board in control of the Highway Department in 2021.
Trustee Rachael Lawrence was praised for bringing up the question as was Road Commissioner Andrew Gasser for supporting the idea.
Missing were the names of those who refused to even second Lawrence’s motion:
- Supervisor Chuck Lutzow
- Trustee David Chapman
- Trustee Dan Shea
- Trustee Melissa Victor
can you give us a link to that Cal?
It’s the lead item in Saturday’s NWH editorial column.
They pulled it off the website or it was never on the website?
I saw it and read it.
Ed Komenda, Hannah Prokop, Jon Styf and the northworst herald is #FAKENEWS.
What does that even mean, Andrew?
It means they went from doing a really poor job of covering local news to actually making shit up.
Cindy, that is funny. Aptly describes the catastrophe that is the NWH.
I couldnot find it on the website but google found it.

These people are pitiful excuses as represtentatives of the people!
Too bad there’s no recal.
Rachael Lawrence was the only one For Letting the People Decide. The rest, I suspect are complicit and want the Miller Clan back so they can get their goodies on you the people!!
NWH?
What’s that?
