A message from McHenry County Republican Party Chairman Diane Evertsen:
McHenry County Fair
The McHenry County Fair will open at noon on Tuesday, July 31st and run through Sunday, August 5th.
In 2016, District 4 County Board candidate Craig Wilcox was manning the Republican booth.
The Republican Party will have our booth in Building D (the air conditioned one!) where we always have the opportunity to meet and greet people as they come in to not only see displays, but cool down.
Our presence at the Fair gives us a great venue for promoting our candidates and giving a ‘face’ to our Party.
We invite all candidates to use this opportunity to meet and greet voters and have some of their promotional materials available to pass out to fair-goers to help jump-start their campaign season.
As in the past, we’re dividing our schedule into two-hour segments starting at 10 am each day (except Tuesday when we start at noon) and ending at 8 pm.
This allows you and other volunteers to spend some time checking out the Fair either before or after your time at the booth.
If you’d like to volunteer at the booth with a friend, that is also easily arranged.
Let me know which day and time works for you and I’ll get you on the schedule.

The Illinois GOP is, as Dan Profft observes, dead.
With a few notable exceptions, most of the GOP ticket is Grade D sh*t compared to Democrat Grade F sh*t.
Unlike surrounding states where the Republicans have cast out the RINOs, Illinois has enshrined them.
They excite no one, they have no ideas, they are losers.
As horrible as Pritzker is, I will NOT vote for Rauner ever again. He retards the process of a a GOP resurgence in Illinois, just as he was designed to do.
Pritzker even contributed to Rauner the last go around.
