Five Years for Fourth Domestic Battery Conviction

TRISTAN L. TAGGART SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS ON CLASS 3 DOMESTIC BATTERY OFFENSE

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Tristan L. Taggart, age 37, pled guilty to the offense of Domestic Battery, a Class 3 Felony, following a negotiated plea on August 14, 2018, before the Honorable Jeffrey L. Hirsch.

Taggert was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

On January 8, 2018, while engaged in a dispute with his wife, Erica Taggert, the defendant caused bodily harm to Erica Taggart by pushing her about the body.

The defendant has been convicted of domestic battery on three prior occasions.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Mary Ann Scholl of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office and investigated by the Crystal Lake Police Department.

    I was in school with him.

    He was always a piece of shit even back in junior high.

    But neither he, nor I, are on the other side of 35 yet.
