McHenry County Republican Party Chairman Calls for Opposition to Jack Franks’ Getting Board Permission to Buy Giveaway Items

An email from McHenry County Republican Chairman Diane Evertsen:

Stop giving away our money!!

It would appear our current County Board Chairman would like all of us to pay for giveaway items with his – or any other -political name and/or message.

May I suggest that this is one of those times when you would like to appear at the County Board Meeting this evening (7:00 pm at the Admin Building at 667 Ware Rd.,Woodstock) to let the Board know we’re trying to save tax dollars, not fund someone’s campaign with giveaway goodies.

A “NO” vote is necessary on this Resolution. Both the Board Agenda and the Resolution in question are attached.

At the presumably taxpayer-financed McHenry Expo booth for McHenry County appeared these campaign tools of now-Board Chairman Jack Franks. Take the campaign logo off the emery board and you can see what might be purchased with taxpayer money.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, please – at the very least – call the Board members to let them know your opinion.

They are, after all, supposed to be representing us. Phone numbers and their County email addresses are shown below:

Thank you for your help in saving McHenry County taxpayers money!

Diane

@HillaryClinton when you go to prison for defrauding America and perjury, your room and board will be free!

  2. Republicans can stop this.

Look no further than the Algonquin Township Highway Department where we found over 2,000 pens all with the former highway commissioner’s name on it.

Some of them were really cool where you could click the pen and it would shift some of the wonderful services (none of which have been abandoned but have been reformed) and others that had the stylist built in.

The best thing to do is put the number to the admin building and let it go from there.

Look – Jack has got the cash if he wants some pens let him pay for it.

  3. Absolutely no go on this brainless idea, anyone that represents district #6 will pay for this on election day

  4. Dear Mrs. Evertsen: Your leadership in the Minutemen Midwest, also known as the minutekkklan, and your hatred toward immigrants, prove you are a pathetic racist and a shame to McHenry County. Having said his, I must clarify this is the last nice thing I will write about you on this sunshine blog. In the meantime, see if you can finish that college degree you never completed by undertaking some coursework at, let’s say, McHenry County College. I look forward to meeting you soon. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meow, meow, meeeeeoooooowwwwwwwww…

  5. For someone who likes to bloviate and exaggerate about how he’s a “tax fighter, Franks doesn’t mind slipping in an agenda item to siphon MORE tax dollars from us for the purpose of furthering his campaign!

Even more questionable is, I see no limit, or any indication of how this would effect the budget and even if I did, I think that this is not only unnecessary, but rather obscene to ask the Taxpayers to pay for Campaign Swag.

We have enough blatant campaigning from elected offices which is unethical to begin with, but then attempting to try to have taxpayers foot the bill to further campaigns is an enormous insult!

Our citizens are expecting the County Board and Elected Officials to reduce spending of tax dollars, NOT fund politicians’ campaigns!

    Where will it end?

    Signs, Fleets of vehicles?

Robocalls, Mailers, Off-site Offices, Campaign Clothing?

    Billboards?

    Banquets?

This is so wrong, that even Cook County said ‘NO’ to anything other than business cards, stationary and name plates for desk and door!

IF it is true that the board members are representing us, A “NO” vote is necessary on this Resolution.

FUNNY HOW THIS DIDN”T MAKE THE NITWITS HERALD!

Showed up twice in the McHenry County Blog!

  7. Chairman Franks has pulled this off the agenda and it has been returned to committee.

  8. Haha. McHenry County Republicans are a joke.

If township Queen and Midwest Minutemen Leader Diane is the best the McHenry GOp is the best this county has then it is over.

  9. WARNING: This is not dead. It’s ‘going back to committee?’

    Why?

    SHUT THIS DOWN!!!!

We’re not paying for Franks’ Campaign!

Cal please cover this committee meeting.

The Herald knows about this yet they don’t think the taxpayers should know?

    I guess Gasser is right.

    They are FAKE NEWS.

  10. Bing bong is obviously threatened by 5’2”, eyes of blue small but mighty Diane Evertsen.

    Good!

    She’s doing something right!!

  11. The Finance Committee meeting is on Sept 6 at 8:15 AM.

Check the county calendar for the agenda a few days in advance.

    A suggestion: Wear Franks stickers.

  12. The rats in McHenry Township, Craig Adams, did this too; his pen lighted up his name, but the Republirats didn’t say boo about that!

  13. @Known Extremist

Jack Franks did not pull this from the agenda it was the County Board.

Jack Franks was the one that presented this to the Finance Committee and then to the County Board.

From listening to the COW and the County Board on Tuesday night it has appeared that Jack Franks didn’t have the votes so had one of his minions Joe Gottemoeller pull it from the agenda and the County Board sent it back to finance committee.

I did hear that Rein had an amendment that was given out to some people on the board?

    Not sure who though?

    Wonder what that was?

Does anyone think that Franks tried to get one past the County Board?
