A press release from the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office:

TIMOTHY SMITH FOUND GUILTY OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 34-year-old Tim Smith of Woodstock, Illinois was found guilty after a bench trial of First Degree Murder.

On May 18, 2011, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a burglary in progress at 4320 Doty Road in Woodstock.

Timothy Smith

The defendant, Tim Smith, called 911 and claimed that a man had broken into his home and that he shot the intruder.

A subsequent investigation revealed that the defendant had placed a sex advertisement on “Craigslist” that featured his wife, Kimberly Smith.

After answering the advertisement, the defendant shot the male victim after a disagreement with a .38 caliber handgun.

Thereafter, the investigation revealed that the defendant staged the scene to make it look like a break-in.

During a subsequent interview, the defendant variously claimed that the shooting was an accident and defense-of-another.

The defendant faces between 45 and 85 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and, under truth-in-sentencing, must serve 100 percent of his sentence.

A sentencing hearing will be held October 18, 2018.

This case was investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Combs and Robert Zalud.

  1. This Case has always struck me as a little odd, some details just didn’t make sense, maybe more to it, that could not be disclosed.

But then again, if it doesn’t make sense, it is nonsense, according to Judge Judy.

I pray the Milliman family has found peace.

    God Bless.

  2. Pretty obvious that the elements of this case do not add up to first degree murder.

Fortunately for the prosecution, the truth is irrelevant.

  3. Just more of McHenry County’s sickoid underbelly exposed.

Ever see the movie “Blue Velvet”? With more and more decent and good people leaving the County every week, and more politically driven (Democrat) Section 8 ‘imports’ from the west and south sides of Chicago, expect many more lurid crimes and exposés.

Ordinary people are ‘sheltered’ from much of the degeneracy, and alot of the ‘sheltering’ is done by conscious policies emplyed by the fake news outlets like the NorthWorst Herald and the local radio stations.

I can’t wait to get out of this rotten place before it all goes to complete Hell.

Why were Woodstock police told to ‘no go’ a certain bar catering to homosexual clientele on a certain day of the week, preventing known underage patronage at the place?

  4. There are many less than obvious statements made about this case like there is a great deal more to this story.

Why are the facts not being said?

Are we all so afraid of the McHenry County mafia?

Its this lack of transparency that has me very worried for every citizen.

  5. I’ve known Tim Smith since we were kids and I absolutely believe he and his wife did this.

He’s not the brightest crayon in the box and she’s crazy, white-trash.
