Court Fails to Take McHenry Township Road District Referendum Off the Ballot

Federal Magistrate Iain Johnston did not grant the relief that McHenry Township Road District referendum opponents sought Thursday.

The McHenry native deferred to Circuit Court Judges, all of whom were in Chicago for a meeting.

The next court hearing is expected to be Friday, October 5th.

    No “federal question”.

    They have to file an appeal with the state appellate court in Elgin.

    Herb Franks was Deputy Chair of the committee that chose Magistrate Johnston.
