17-Year Old Greenwood General Store Burglars Apprehended

A press release from the McHenry County Sheriff:

Two Juveniles Arrested in Burglary to Greenwood General Store

Two 17-year-old juveniles have been charged with Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property and Theft for allegedly burglarizing the Greenwood General Store in unincorporated Greenwood Township last month.

On September 20, deputies were dispatched to General Store for a report of damage to property.

On September 21 and September 24, deputies were again dispatched to the store for two burglaries that had occurred overnight. Alcohol, cigarettes and cash were among the items taken.

A week-long investigation was launched by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, which led to the arrests.

The juveniles were released to the care and custody of their parents.

    • Juvenile, 17-years-old, Wonder Lake
      • 2 counts-Burglary (class 2)
      • Criminal Damage to Property (class A)
      • Theft (class A)
    • Juvenile, 17-years-old, Wonder Lake
      • 2 counts-Burglary (class 2)
      • Criminal Damage to Property (class A)
      • Theft (class A)

    The charges against this individual are merely allegations against them. All defendants are
    presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
