There are parts of two State Rep. districts in McHenry County in which Democrats are challenging the non-incumbent Republican candidates.

The smallest portion covers a bit of the Sun City area.  There Don Ugaste is seeking to replace Steve Andersson, one of the State Reps. who did not vote to sustain Governor Bruce Rauner’s veto of the Democrats’ huge income tax increase.  He is being challenged by Richard Johnson.

Democrats invested a considerable amount of money on network TV ads in this mainly Kane County district.

The second is the one from which Barb Wheeler is retiring.

Tom Weber is pitted against Democrat Trisha Zubert.
