On the way back from the rally at Scot Forge for Randy Hultgren featuring House Speaker Paul Ryan I drove down Route 31 from Route 12.

I saw a sign for governor on the corner and wondered if folks from Wisconsin had come across the border.

Then, I looked more carefully and saw an image in the shape of Illinois.

Sam McCann for Governor yard sign.  Note how his Lt. Gov. candidate’s name almost overwhelms McCann’s name.

Finally, I figured out that it was a yard sign supporting the candidacy of Sam McCann for Governor.

He was put on the ballot by Local 150 of the Operating Engineers to draw conservative votes away from Bruce Rauner.
