Now look at which parties had Precinct Committeemen in which precincts:
Great job by Cal in Algon 7 and Lou Anne in Algon 16, hard work pays off!!!
How sad that so many people are so misinformed to have voted for Casten. He is just another goofball Democrat who will be 100 percent obedient to and take orders from Pelosi and other top Democrats in DC such as Maxine Waters.
Casten won because roskam is a piece of sh&*
No amount of organizing will make up for the fact that average moderate suburban voters are appalled by the behavior of the man at the top.
Unless the GOP can rid itself of Trump, they may be doomed to go the way of the Whigs.
Interesting factoid.
The County Clerks’ site shows 24,482 votes for County Board in District 1.
Then it drops to 19,335 in District 2, before jumping up again to 27,428 in District 3.
All County Board districts should have roughly equal populations, at least as of 2012, the redistricting year.
Districts 4 and 5 also had around 20,000 and then District 6 had over 27,000.
There is somewhat more population in District 6.
However District 4 had no contest yet it had the same number of votes as District 5 which was hotly contested.
In any event, the new Board will be totally compliant with the Chairman regardless of party affiliations.
Joe G and Acosta are within range to request a recount.
Had Wedig not been in the race in District 5, Acosta might very well have won due to the “soft bullet vote” effect.
Death, taxes and Democrats loathing of Trump.
“Appalled by the behavior at the top”? Yes. Intelligent and well informed and patriotic Americans were appalled by the incompetence, recklessness, lawlessness and stupidity at the top by the previous president who was never qualified to be president or even a dog catcher. We somehow survived that dope who said he wanted to TRANSFORM America into something in his far left extremist vision. That goofball and his celebrities went into GA and FL trying to prop up extremist governor candidates and failed.
Roskam went along with Trump’s idiotic tax plan which will soon punish every property owner in CL, Lakewood who has a tax bill north of 10k.
Bred, do you hear a lot of voices in your head…do you…do you?
Re: “Interesting factoid” All I can say is WTF?
Factoid?
No wonder we had so many people voting for a screamer / liar and an imposter in this County in the Congressional races.
What does voter turnout have to do with redistricting?
Here is a real classy comment at 7:31 PM last night by some guy or gal:
“Casten won because roskam is a piece of sh&*”
Alg 21, Rachael Lawrence, Casten 53.85%, Roskam 46.15%
Alg 17, vacant, Roskam 59.43%, Casten 40.57%
Maybe Precinct Committeemen are like political signs, are more useless horse and buggy stuff, even more than townships Highway Comm.
How about the 8 years that Obama spent rebuilding the shattered economy he inherited from Bush II that Trump took credit for?
Meanwhile, 12 more dead in a bar in CA.
We know about that part of the tax reform law, but there are other parts that may result in a net benefit.
I figure I won’t know until I do my taxes next spring.
For once I agree with Dentblah, Roskam was a piece of %$#&, but I still voted for him bc Casten was LGBT/Marxist-diarrhea mixed with Cholera and Hepatitis B & C.
Here’s What President Trump rightly said about Roskam:
president Donald Trump on Wednesday said outgoing Republican U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam “didn’t want the embrace” hours after the Wheaton Republican conceded defeat to Democratic challenger Sean Casten.
https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/editorials/ct-edit-congress-illinois-election-roskam-20181106-story.html
Casten is one sick human-tick.
Degenerates swoon over his ‘victory’ over a pathetic put up.
Don’t worry, it’s just another step toward the coming civil war. We’ll see how the degenerates fare in that one.
https://www.hrc.org/blog/victory-for-hrc-backed-candidates-pritzker-casten-underwood-in-historic-ill
Did (Prima)Donna Kurtz endorse Casten? [Alg #10]
It’s one of Casten’s highest percentage pcts?
Here’s another way Clerks can cheat: By not counting ballots or saying they never received absentee ballots back.
Quite alot of uncounted ballots in MChenry Co. And this is only what they’re admitting to.
https://www.elections.il.gov/votinginformation/uncountedballots.aspx
Look again Extremist.
Looks like Acosta had highest vote total in recent updates Clerk totals.
Rein is out
Here is what happened in this election as analyzed by 538:
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-suburbs-all-kinds-of-suburbs-delivered-the-house-to-democrats/
The blue wave swept through all of the suburbs in America, fueled by public disgust at Trump.
In CD 14 we had a young Black woman who had never held elective office beat an incumbent Congressman in a solid GOP district which has never seen a Democrat elected before to my knowledge (Melissa Bean did hold part of it in what used to be CD 8 but only won the McHenry County portion once, in 2006, another Democratic wave year).
Since the midterm, Trump’s actions have shown that he intends to double down rather than reach out, which will be fatal not only to his own re-election chances but to those of every GOP office holder or candidate in 2020.
With the Democrats able to use the investigative powers of the House, expect a non stop scrutiny of everything Trump has ever done, starting with his tax returns.
I expect that the unending revelations, coupled with Trumps petulant responses, will further erode GOP support in the suburbs by the next election turning places like McHenry County blue.
