Incompetent McHenry County Clerk Mary McClellan Figures Out She Screwed Up Election Night Ballot Count

As reported just after midnight, about 21% of those who cast votes did not show up as having voted for Governor.

Now, after a call from Rich Miller of Capitol Fax and a posting of this article, our clearly incompetent County Clerk Mary McClellan has figured out that she forgot to add the early and absentee ballots to the totals she posted on election night.

The major result of McClellan’s really big mistake is that 5th County Board District Democrat Carlos Acosta is seen beating Republican incumbent Michael Rein by 554 votes.

McHenry County Board results after early and absentee votes were added to votes shown on Election Night for McHenry County Board District 5.

  1. My goodness, she can’t do anything correctly.

This is incompetence on a level that is hard to believe.

As I posted previously, adopt they way Oregon votes.

    Simple and clean.

Oregon has the best solution to these voting dilemmas.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elections_in_Oregon

Elections in Oregon are all held using a Vote by Mail (VBM) system. This means that all registered voters receive their ballots via postal delivery and can vote from their homes. A state Voters’ Pamphlet is mailed to every household in Oregon about three weeks before each statewide election. It includes information about each measure and candidate in the upcoming election.

  2. Our very own second coming of William F. Buckley Jr. predicted “everything would be lost” if McHenry County District 5 voters elected Carlos Acosta on Tuesday. Not being able to sleep after such a frightening prediction coming from such a respectable and prestigious sociological, and geopolitical personality, I feared for the worst. Well, indeed the worst happened. This is worst than a caravan; worst than providing health care to all Americans, worst than raising the minimum wage to a living wage; worst than providing free tuition college for all Americans; worst than ending senseless and criminal wars. This is doomsday, the end of times. I can see shortly the Red Army marching through the Woodstock Square, and compassionate conservatives being jailed, tortured, and sent to the Gulag by the criminal Stalinist left iron fist regime. Seriously, congratulations to Mr. Carlos Acosta, a decent human being who is now on his way to represent all of us in a dignified way from our McHenry County Board. The Midterms countdown is over, the bluenami swept all over our country, including beautiful McHenry County. Congratulations to all those good American patriots who volunteered and helped Lauren Underwood and Sean Casten to oust low-energy Hultgren and chamer-of-commerce Roskam from the United States Congress.

  3. This is incompetence is beyond being inexcusable!

Your departure from this office will be a much welcomed sight goodbye.

One question, why did you run as a republican to sabotage things?

Remember, actions speak louder than words!

  4. Dear Mrs. McLellan: Please keep in mind the phrase “Incompetent McHenry County Clerk” in this headline really means “Why didn’t you sweep this under the rug? McHenry County Clerk”…

  5. Proof again – as if any was needed – that Mary “Hack” McClellan could screw up a one car funeral. . .

Either she is brain damaged or is as corrupt as some of her Democratic mentors in Crook County.

We are fortunate, indeed, that she is leaving elected office.

We wish her great success in her new employment:

“Would you like fries with that, sir?”

  6. So glad she can’t screw up any more election.

Get her out of there and take her idiot hubby too.

  7. There are two faults here.

First the mistakes by the County Clerk and it’s inexcusable.

But the second fault is the GOP in the State of Illinois and local McHenry County who did not ensure enough support for Republican candidates for the County Board.

I saw so few if ANY signs up for Republican Board members and I highly doubt many Committeemen were out Door to Door with the exception of Algonquin.

That fault is on every Republican in Illinois.

  8. Dig deeper. Investigate. Investigate. Too many “oopsies” by this hack to be “oopsy prone! She is a criminal. Someone needs to investigate her.

  9. My other post on this was slighting in error.

These are the numbers comparing the 97% reporting point published here on election night with the final totals after the early and mail in ballots were counted in County Board District 5:

ACOSTA, went from 4681 to 8126, a net gain of 3445.

WEDIG went from 3608 to 6457 a net gain of 2849

JUNG went from 5063 to 7898, a net gain of 2835

REIN went from 4847 to 7572, a net gain of 2725.

Vote totals from election night were 18.199 with 97% reporting.

    Final totals were 30,053.

Each voter gets up to 2 votes which may either be both cast for the same party, or one for each party, or only one for 1 candidate.

  10. Tirio should count the paper clips when Mary McDevious leaves office.

  11. This is the perfect site for everyone who would like to find out about this topic.
You realize a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually
will need to…HaHa). You definitely put a brand new spin on a topic that has been discussed for decades.
    Great stuff, just great!

  12. “Incompetent” is a serious understatement for that sneaky snake.
