NWH Reporter Predicts Trouble for Jack Franks in 2019

Jack Franks

Fridays, the Northwest Herald sends out a free email on county government.

Today, there is a prediction by Ed Komenda’s story resulting from last Friday’s Joe Tirio v. Breaker Press court hearing.

That’s when Breaker Press President Richard Lewandowski mentioned that he had heard that Jack Franks was involved in the smear pieces, his and, very recently, also the Illinois Integrity Fund’s attorney Natalie Harris made a swift objection that what Lewandowski said was hearsay and, therefore, inadmissible.

One might wonder which party being represented was of most importance.

But to the prediction from the NWH reporter on the scene:

“Expect it [2019] to be a rocky one for Franks, who will now have to deal with a GOP leadership, fractured as it is, using the revelations from that courtroom as an axe to swipe at the chairman’s knees.”

NWH Reporter Predicts Trouble for Jack Franks in 2019 — 20 Comments

  1. Franks can join Sanctuary Rauner at the “washed up politician” drinking club.

    Don’t cry for them.

They have $$millions and $$$millions and will continue to feed from the public trough one way or another.

  2. The Northwest Herald……

“A day late and a dollar short !”

” Shut the Barn door after the horse is gone ! ”

Perhaps Franks could take out some advertising and the story will go away ?

  3. Please tell me that prediction was in an editorial and marked as such, not in a “news story”.

No reporter should be making those kinds of statements in what is billed as a news story.

  4. It’s from NWHeralds ‘weekly govt insider’ and it’s clearly from the reporter’s perspective and speculation.

Examples of him taking liberties are:

    “GOP-favorite attorney Philip Prossnitz. “

“They were all there to witness whether the rumors tumbling around the county.”

“Meanwhile, Wheeler leaned close to Evertsen. The GOP leaders, in hushed whispers, strategized about the next steps.”

“Expect it to be a rocky one for Franks, who will now have to deal with a GOP leadership, fractured as it is, using the revelations from that courtroom as an axe to swipe at the chairman’s knees.”

He paints a picture for his subscribers.

  5. You know, Steve, that you could just click on the link and see?

  6. Komenda is right on all counts but one.

It’s not the knees; it’s the throat.

  7. Is this the same Komenda that wrote the leaders of the community piece on the Pops of the weasel

  8. Some think Franks is just a friendly politician.

    Think again.

If you want to know the real Jack Franks, look at the tactics he employs to build a Chicago-style political machine here in McHenry County.

And take a look at who he’s in bed with. ED ‘F–KING’ BURKE!!!!

Well, if you want to build a corrupt political machine, you may as well learn from the most corrupt …

  9. self-victimization?

Now we know of the tactics Dems will use to defend Franks.

    Poor, poor Jack.

The GOP sat in the courtroom and picked on him.

How does anyone take Komenda seriously?

  10. Franks is Little Tommy Snowflake’s hero, no harm must befall him.

  11. Ed Komenda may be out of a poor-paying job.

But he’s certainly gonna get an earful from Jack’s mouthpieces running the Fake News!

  12. The Northwest Herald doesn’t hire investigative journalists, they hire those who gather information then just spin what they are told to by the Editorial management.

I wouldn’t trust this paper to get the weather right let alone get the truth of what’s going on in McHenry County politics.

  13. Ed Komenda’s “news” reads like he’s writing a chapter in a romance novel.

And something typically happens in a romance novel that is likely going to find its way to EK from behind.

Prossnitz is a great lawyer, but If Prossnitz is the GOP favorite Attorney how come the GOP had Hanlon represent it at the state board of elections.

What exactly is a hushed whisper?

Is it different than a whisper?

    How about a “bespectacled man”?

    It’s some guy with glasses.

A real news reporter would have got a name and would report John Doe said …

“They were all there to witness whether the rumors tumbling around the county were true.”

No they were not there to witness anything about rumors.

Komenda is a joke almost as bad as his writing.

  14. Do everyone a favor Jack, walk away with all your empty promises and False accusations,

You might feel better for once doing the State something good for once.

  15. We can only hope the FakeNews NWH is right, for a change, on this prognostication.
