State Rep. Steve Andersson Says Thank You

From retiring State Rep. Steve Andersson:

Steve Andersson

I want to let you know that serving the people of Kane and McHenry counties in the 65th District and all of Illinois has been the highest honor and privilege of my life — I want to thank you, my constituents, for putting your trust in me to serve.

The past four years have been invaluable to me.

I have been fortunate to meet a lot of great people during my time in office.

And whether we have agreed or not, I have always known that we are all in it together, we are all interested in a common goal of making our communities safe, and prosperous for ourselves, our children, and our future generations.

Parents, children, students, educators, community activists, business owners, farmers, seniors, civic and religious leaders, city, county, and state government officials – all with a passion for getting this great State of Illinois back on track.

To say these past four years have been quite a journey does not even convey my appreciation for this opportunity.

It has been quite a journey – not always an easy journey, but still a journey that I will never forget.

I would like to thank my wife, Nanette, who has been by my side throughout this journey and my children.

I want to thank all my colleagues and staff in Springfield, both Republican and Democrat, both the House and the Senate, who helped teach me the ropes as a new legislator, and showed me it is the right thing to do to stand up for my beliefs.

Also, I want to thank my District Director, Michelle Myers and Communications Director, Colleen King for their tireless and incredible work in serving our constituents.

Most of all, though, I want to thank you.

It has been an honor to serve as the state representative for District 65.

Be well.

  1. Reads like a response, to being fired from a hippie commune, for being to lazy.
