Don DeWitte Sworn into State Senate

Having taken office when State Senator Karen McConnaughay resigned early last fall, Don DeWitte assumed office in the new General Assembly today. Here is his press release:

Senator Donald P. DeWitte sworn in as 101st General Assembly convenes

Springfield, IL… State Sen. Donald P. DeWitte (R-St. Charles) was sworn in as State Senator for the 33rd District on Jan. 9 as the 101st General Assembly convenes. This will be DeWitte’s first full term as State Senator.

“I cannot express enough how grateful I am to serve in the Illinois State Senate and to represent the great people of my district.

“I look forward to working together with my colleagues, on both sides of the aisle, on reforms and policies that move our state toward prosperity.

“Some of my top priorities while serving the next two years in the 101st General Assembly will be infrastructure and transportation improvements, property tax relief and fiscal responsibility.

“While working together in a bipartisan manner will be the key to a successful Illinois future, I will continue to uphold and reflect the ideals and values of the 33rd District.”
