Michael Rein Fifth Candidate to File Suit Against Illinois Integrity Fund Conspirators – Part 1

Former McHenry County Board member Michael Rein has become the fifth 2016 Republican Party Primary Election candidate to file suit against the folks who sent hit pieces under the pseudonym “Illinois Integrity Fund.”

Tipped off by the President of Breaker Press to his possible involvement, Rein includes County Board Chairman Jack Franks as a “Respondent in Discovery,” along with Breaker Press.

Rein asserts he is “a person of good repute and credit” and, prior to the mailings, “enjoyed a reputation of honesty and integrity within the community.”

Michael Noonan of the Roosevelt Group is named as the one who is believed to have designed the hit pieces.

Sean Tenner of KNI, Inc., is said to have “created the flyers” and “paid Breaker Press to print and mail them.”

The Illinois Integrity Fund is said to be responsible for the “creation and/or distribution” of the flyers., which Rein’s lawsuit says were “defamatory, defamatory per se, and cast plaintiff is a false light.”

Here’s how Jack Franks comes into the case:

Rein’s suit focuses on health insurance first.

The panel below claims he “has billed McHenry County more than $100,000 for mileage and healthcare reimbursement” while a County Board member.

There was no such billing for healthcare reimbursements, the filing states.

And less that $50 was billed for mileage.Rein Franks involvement in mailings.

The next target is the $25,000 that the McHenry County Board paid Local 150 of the Operating Engineers to settle an Open Meetings law violation.

Rein says he did not attend the meeting in question with Governor Bruce Rauner.

Knowing the truth, the suit claims the Illinois Integrity Fund folks “maliciously intending to injure plaintiff and bring him into public scandal disrepute and disgrace…published the flyers concerning Plaintiff with their false, scandalous, malicious and defamatory words.”

  1. My oh my. What do you think it’s going to cost to battle against four seperate lawsuits.

My guess would be just north of 1/3 million.

Where will the small fry from Chitown turn for help?

What happens when no help (money) is forthcoming.

Who rats out the ‘big guy’ to get out from under the crushing burden of impending bankruptcy.

    Then ……

Who loses his sorry ass in the 2020 election.

  2. Michael Rein came up with the plan to save Millions in healthcare insurance costs for the county and it wasn’t to win an election.

He was a true representative for his district’s taxpayers and beyond!

    We need more like him.

These lying mailers were just a sleazy Chicago style Local Politician’s way of trying to get rid of his detractors (the elected officials with good ideas that actually delivered!)

    You were warned McH County!

Now who’s going to run against Franks to rid this county of his sleazy degenerate’s Chicago styled & funded politics?

  3. And watch lying Jack Franks with the help of the Chicago Democrat Machine drag me and my family thru the dirt like a rabid animal?
