Staking out territory in front of AJ’s home on Dole Avenue for the Independence Day Parade was the organization Roar for AJ.
All of the neighbors were not happy, but “the opportnity to interest with politicians in the parade was too good to pass up,” writes

Roar was there to show support and bring positivity to that house for one day.
It was not a demonstration however we did take the opportunity to call out a few very important people
The people at the beginning of the parade who held the very large flagged stopped in front of Aj’s house and waved it.
I hope this becomes a new tradition as I want to believe Aj got to see the parade at least once in his life- I need to believe that.
Lauren underwood did not even look at the house or acknowledged us.
She kept walking and paid no mind
Tom Weber laughed at us when we told him we needed and wanted change.
Jack Franks said it’s on DCFS not his problem basically and walked away.
There was one Danny (pictured to the left) who stopped and gave his a min of his time and said he’d love to sit and talk with us.
I am not a political bully however be very aware of who you vote for!
If you want change it’s in us to help bring it.

The Folks on the South & West sides of Chicago have had to watch their children die in the streets, with no JUSTICE, many have become numb to the murders, and afraid to speak up, because of retaliation.
We do not want McHenry County to fall into the same mindset.
Carlos Acosta should take a leave from the County Board, until AJ’s case is resolved, and until complaints are resolved with DCFS and his job performance.
I would suggest the Folks in District 5 of McHenry County demand better from their representative, on the County Board.
Let’s keep attention to the fact that the politicians ignored roar, ignored the home, and ignored Aj.
The lions club and 1 float who had a single ribbon attached to their horse deco were the only ones to pay tribute to little Aj.
How wildly unreasonable it is to yell at a politician in a parade, who is running down the street on a parade, and expect them to have a meaningful, thoughtful conversation about the death of a child – AND THEN complain about it!
