Carolyn Schofield Launches SkilliCORN-on-the-Cob Microsite

Carolyn Schofield

Instead of doing a mailing, Schofield reaching voters through a 21st Century electronic way with Chapter 1 of SkilliCORN on the Cob published with Chapter 2 Coming Soon

As reported earlier today on McHenry County Blog, State Representative Allen Skillicorn has the first mailing (though it was an official state mailing, not paid for by Taxpayers for Skillicorn Committee) out in the Republican primary, but challenger McHenry County Board Member Carolyn Schofield’s campaign has launched a microsite:

Combination of a cornfield and science fiction with a “wormhole”, Chapter 1 refers to the ethics complaint filed against Skillicorn with the Legislative Inspector General back on January 14.

The microsite goes through several support screens with documented proof with some animation to keep the reader interested and ends here:

The Rich Miller comment above was posted on Capitol Fax on January 15 (link below).

  1. When you can’t run on your record attack the opposition.

  2. Mr. Pokorny, the problem in this race is to whom are you directing that question?

Given Skillicorn’s reaction to Schofield’s candidacy announcement, it may go to either candidate.

Between this seat, & the open senate seat Jim Oberweis is vacating (Democrat running for it raised over $150K as of end of 2019), it’s going to be a challenge to keep either of the seats red.

  3. It is gay.

    Schofield is a transgender agendaist.

She’s hardening back to her college daze.

    LSD flashbacks Missy Schofield?

  4. I was there and took photos, but was unable to download them in time for the story, so I asked the candidates to send shots of themselves.

The photo of Skillicorn is in the staging area, presumably before the parade started.

  5. Ms. Prestia, perhaps, but it’s very effective, and all Skillicorn has to do is tell the whole truth about what happened on June 1.

Am curious as most informed citizens, what the Legislative Inspector General will do with the complaint.

It is a valid issue, and no matter one’s ideology, something Skillicorn must address very quickly, and not try to “run out the clock” with the primary election.

Oh, and this tweet from Skillicorn I retweeted with comment very hypocritical of Skillicorn, and once again demonstrating Skillicorn would rather be doing something else than being the state representative for the 66th representative district:

The ethics complaint should make a good question at Tuesday’s LWV forum in Carpentersville.

  6. Ms. Prestia raises good points.

Mr. Lopez, why do you dwell on this.

    Skillicorn is like Trump.

Maybe you wouldn’t invite him to your daughter’s wedding, but on policy and guts he’s tops!

Schofield buys those kooky scratch off lottery tickets.

    That alone should disqualify her!

  7. Sorry Linda…Allen has no one to blame for this but himself.

    Mr. Lopez is correct.

Let him address this issue on Tuesday at the LWV forum.

Then he can deal with the Legislative Inspector General.

  8. Cleops, “Skillicorn is like Trump”?

    Hardly.

Skillicorn is 45 1/2 years old.

We all know when Donald Trump was that age, he wasn’t living in no starter-home townhome like Skillicorn where he’s still living in East Dundee for over 12 years.

Skillicorn has been a hired hand in his employment history.

Never a business owner, risk taker or entrepreneur.

We all know Trump’s history, and to lesser degree Jim Oberweis.

Then comes his 3 years in Springfield where he has accomplished nothing, except recreational marijuana.

He has passed no bill that he initiated.

Every tax increase he votes against still passed in spite of his opposition.

Skillicorn is a wannabe to be in higher office, as his tweets he posts about Washington proves.

The truth, Skillicorn cannot afford to run for Congress.

That’s the real reason he didn’t run for the 14th.

And now, he cannot tell the whole truth about where he was on June 1st.

I’m not letting this go, because a real man who claims to be a Christian will tell the truth.

  9. Just found out tomorrow night’s (Tuesday, 2/4) LWV candidates’ forum in Carpentersville, referenced in earlier comments, has been cancelled.

An article will go up very soon, but please be aware there is no forum tomorrow night in Carpentersville.
