From 14th District Republican congressional candidate Jim Oberweis:
Jim Oberweis’s statement on violence in Kenosha, WI
Sugar Grove, IL – State Senator and candidate for Congress in the 14th District, Jim Oberweis, is issuing the following statement on the violence in Kenosha, WI.
“I am deeply saddened by the violence we are seeing not just in Kenosha but in Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and other communities across the country.
“Kenosha is a community that many residents of the 14th Congressional District know quite well.
“Many Illinois residents visit that community regularly for the outlet malls and other amenities the community offers and so what happens there is of great concern to many of the people living in the 14th Congressional District.
“We can and should have a robust debate on race relations in America.
“We should look at ways to improve and reform police policies and procedures and make sure we are doing everything possible as a society to ensure the safety and dignity of our citizens.
“I stand ready to be a part of positive solutions as a member of Congress, but the violence, rioting and looting we are seeing is hurting not helping these efforts.
“What we are seeing in Kenosha is people who do not even live there coming into that community for the express purpose of destroying property and hurting people.
“Sadly, many of these agitators are coming from Illinois.
“The answer to the issues in Kenosha is not more violence.
“I urge the local leaders and the Governor of Wisconsin to take the necessary steps to get the situation under control.
“The White House has offered federal aid.
“State and local officials need to stop allowing their partisan hatred to excuse their inaction and indecision and formally accept the federal aid that has been offered.
“The longer the violence is allowed to continue unchecked – the greater likelihood there is of more situations such as the one involving the teenager from Antioch.
“The teen from Antioch should have never been in Kenosha in the first place.
“His recklessness has led directly to the deaths of two people.
“It is time for the leaders in Kenosha and in the Wisconsin state government to get control of the streets and end the violence.
“They are the adults in this situation, and they should start acting like it.”
More malarkey from the milquetoast man.
First, the Left has no intention of debating him or anybody else
in the name of peace
They have made it abundantly clear that they will accept
nothing less that complete and total surrender even if it means total destruction
of cities and states.
Secondly, Oberweis conveniently omits the roll DEMOCRATS are playing in the ongoing violence,
looting and arson.
You were warned about this entitled fool who bought his candidacy, now you can see what a fool he really is.
Thus, Underwood wins again. ☹️
Thanks for reminding me, Eddie.
Underwood has as of this date refused to comment on BLM/Antifa riots, arsons and looting.
In any event, I will still vote for Oberweis as he is not a committed BLM Leftist.

Burn
Loot
Murder

These are the tools of DEMOCRATS everywhere.
I thought it was Burning Looting Marxists.
Wimpy.
Oberwimp.
Underpup could have written the same nonsense for her deluded supporters.
Sickening!
Lukewarm, that’s what I’d call this response.
Pick a side and go all the way with it.
The messaging should be along the lines of
“look at what the democrats are allowing, we want law and order and opportunity for ALL people. We need to untite together as AMERICANS and condemn this lawlessness. Come join us in in putting and end to this…. ”
Then lay out what the plan is. That is what will get votes.
Neal, you are far to kind in describing Oberweis’ response as “lukewarm”.
I’d say it’s a non-response response that we’ve come to expect from a virtue signaling COWARD.
You’re welcome, HonestAbe1. 😁
The 14th Congressional District does NOT directly border Pleasant Prairie, WI. 😐
Congressperson Brad Schneider (D-10) shares that distinction. 😐
Truth is like the sun.
You can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t goin away.
Oberwuss. I was never a fan of Lauf, and couldn’t even vote in that race, but can Oberwuss be replaced?
Designated loser.
Like McCain in 2008.
Or Dole.
Or Romney aka Mitten.
Carter (second time), McGovern, Humphrey and Nixon (first time) were designated losers too
I don’t consider lukewarm to be a nice term. God despises people who are lukewarm.
He would much prefer that you pick a side.
