Women Buying Guns

From a daily financial email called the Morning Brew from the Washington Post:

The front door leads to the gun store part of the building at Crystal Lake’s On Target.

Americans purchased more than 2 million firearms last month, an 80% increase from a year earlier, according to a WaPo analysis.

It’s the third-highest monthly total on record.

First-time buyers accounted for about 40% of all guns purchased in 2020, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

And 40% of total purchases were made by women.

  1. They also offer great gun safety training courses for Women at most Gun Stores with ranges as well as On Target.

Something these left wing outfits rarely mention when it comes to Guns.

Nice to see women figuring out they and their families might not be as well protected by the Authorities as promised.

  2. Learn well, ladies, we ALL may need your skill set in the future of are U.S.A.

  3. They pulled too much chit at the very beginning of this fake planned demic. Will never darken their doors again. Boycott all businesses run by jerks.

  4. Here is a good article from the year 2008 how radicals, such as Bill Ayers from the 1970’s terrorist group, Weathermen, want to subvert education and rot the minds of children. Bill and his wife Bernadine had bombed buildings in the U.S. in the 1970’s with the Weatherman group. They were on the ten most wanted list of the federal bureau in the U.S. Then, decades later they were teachers at colleges in the Chicago area. How the he** did that happen? Are college and university leaders nuts?

“All music to Bill Ayers’s ears. The ex-Weatherman glimpsed a new radical vocation. He dreamed of bringing the revolution from the streets to the schools. And that’s exactly what he has managed to do.

Ayers has subsequently written a best seller used in ed-school courses which focuses on the moral imperative of teaching social justice to students in K-12 classrooms. He has been active in “teaching teachers” that capitalism is a curse and imperialism is an American obsession.”

Some of the garbage from guys/ladies like these has found its way into mainstream everyday nice Americans. Has anyone of sound mind encountered old white women who talk about the evil of “white privilege”?

  5. A friend who works at a large local gun store tells me that many of the new customers are liberals who are shocked to discover that legally purchasing a gun isn’t nearly as easy they had been led to believe.

Many actually believed the BS about being able to simply buy a gun online and have it shipped to their house.

My friend very much enjoys telling these people about waiting periods, background checks, and the unconscionable delay in getting a FOID card issued.

Schadenfreude can be a beautiful thing.

  6. My friend doesn’t work at On-Target and I’ve never patronized the place.

When I heard that Andy Zinke was employed there, that was reason enough to not give them my business.

Zinke is long gone from there, but now there are other options closer to me if I feel the need to shoot indoors.

I prefer to shoot behind my house except for when the weather is like this.

  7. Billy Bob? Thank you, for clarifying. Gat’s is a better class of people if you must go.

  8. The point of the article was the increase in women buying guns regardless of where they were going to buy and get training.

    True.

FOID cards are taking much longer, availability of guns this summer was extremely limited and receiving a CC license (after taking a CC class) can take 6 months.
