Crystal Lake Police Seek Additional Information
On March 26, 2021, Crystal Lake Police began an investigation into a Sexual Assault.
The incident was reported to have occurred in early 2020 at a business located in the 40 block of Terra Cotta Avenue in Crystal Lake.
During the incident the victim, a female employee, reported feeling semi-incoherent after consuming a beverage offered by the owner.
While attempting to leave the location, the victim reported that the business owner physically assaulted her.
As a result of the investigation, Asif S Damani (35) of Lake in the Hills was arrested on April 21st, 2021 for:
- Four counts of Battery, 720 ILCS 5.0/12-3(a)(2), a class A Misdemeanor
Damani posted $100.00 bond and was released pending his court date on 05/04/21 at 0830hrs.
It is believed there may be other female employee victims of the same circumstances described above.

Crazy, insane, misleading press release. He’s charged with attempting to kiss her on two occasions when she wasn’t feeling it.

He didn’t grope her.
If were accused of that, he’d be facing felony charges, not these bush league misdemeanor charges.
If the coppers had even a shred of evidence that he roofied her, again, they’d have charged him with a felony for that.
It makes you wonder what he did to piss off the Crystal Lake police.
They wrote that press release to make it seem like he roofies women and rapes them.
In reality, he’s a dork who doesn’t know how to get a date but took a shot anyhow.
He should look into suing Crystal Lake and the NWH for going to such great lengths to defame him and call him a rapist.

You equating inappropriate passes at women with being raped behind a dumpster by a hobo is concerning.
But, that was the intent of #metoo, wasn’t it?
The first step was to make sure women who engaged in consensual, transactional sexual encounters with Harvey Weinstein were just as much victims as rape survivors.
The current phase of the plan is to make sure women who get hit on by guys who are way too ugly and poor to have a shot are viewed as rape survivors.
