From McHenry County Coroner Michael Rein:
McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted to investigate the death of Andrew Ladd, age 42, at the McHenry County Jail on April 5, 2021
An autopsy was performed by Dr. Escobar on April 7.
The final autopsy report revealed the manner and cause of death to be a suicide by hanging.
Ladd was arrested by Crystal Lake Police for possession of Child pornography and possession of a firearm by a felon.
He died on April 5th in his single occupancy cell.
His residence was at the northwest corner of Dole and Oak Street.
