McHenry County needs to step it up in the area of Narcan training and Narcan Nasal Spray, and Fentanyl Testing.

I’ve been trained in both and tried to get the ‘free supplies” that are promised from the Feds and State.

CVS is one of the listed Pharmacies to just go to and say ” I want Narcan and test strips”–I even showed up with a General Prescription that is available online–talk about state of confusion, the Pharmacist said “yeah you’re right you do have it coming, but we dont have any and I dont know how to get it”…

she then sent me to the Fire Dept, who is also listed as potential resource for Narcan and Test Strips–

they too presented a clown show of ignorance on how to help and after transferring me to a Captain, he said “go to CVS or Walgreens”.

I gave up after that in trying to find it in McHenry County.

I’m sure there exists an easy process, but finding it, as evidenced by my experience is a joke.

I finally found a resource in Cook County, that even mailed me the items in the qty I requested free of charge.

Get with it McHenry County–you train and equip enough people you might be able to save lives, much like civilians were trained in CPR/AED and First Aid.

its a crisis, and its not all street addicts dying here.

Its now mainly sons and daughters of people you know.

And anyone taking a form of Opiod even from a Doctor–mixed the wrong way or taken too much and its trouble.

Knowing how to help when you know someone is using Opiods, legally or illegally might reduce the fatality numbers–

until Biden cracks down on Fentanyl from Mexico and China (as in Never).

Biden is a disgrace….. but so what, he always was.
