  1. There’s money to be made and kickbacks to be paid.

    This is Illinois after all.

  2. Why not bus the kids, 4 hrs a day roundtrip, to the culturally enriched negro areas of the south and west side of Chi-Congo. They will have to learn how ro fight.

  3. If we have schools, we need buses.

If we have buses, theyโ€™ll need to be replaced.

When they need replacement, we should consider a manufacturer with production facilities in Joliet.

But this blog will bring out the worst, so release the kracken.

  4. Per:

    https://www.nj.com/news/2021/03/electric-school-buses-are-expensive-but-these-2-ideas-could-make-getting-them-easier.html

“A full-sized 40-foot electric school bus can cost $230,000 to $400,000 per vehicle, two to almost four times the cost of a $110,000 diesel-powered school bus.”

Of course the health of students in the bus should be the major factor in deciding electric over diesel. What are the data of measured air quality in diesel bus vs an electric bus? Also, all school buses should have seat belts that every student rider must put on.

Do the latest designed diesel school buses have good and acceptable air quality within the bus and as children are boarding and departing the bus?

Followed a big pickup truck with a diesel engine for about a half mile on 14 in Crystal Lake yesterday. Stayed a required distance back (1 car length for each 1 MPH) but still smelled the stench coming into my car.

  5. Some McHenry county school districts have gone back to gasoline powered school buses.

  6. Stupid question.

What’s the environmental impact to mine the minerals in the electric bus batteries and where do we dispose of these pollutants once their useful life is over?

Politicians can’t get past step 1 of their next money wasting endeavor which will cost even more money on the back end and harm to the planet than fossil fuels.

Since China owns the market on battery production guess why we are pushing all electric vehicles.

4 words: bought and paid for.

  7. Why does Martin exist?

To try and vex intelligent people?

To advance the liberal cause of same sex\trans lunacy and degeneracy.

To come up with inane sayings here?

    Cal, fix this blog.

  8. Public funds should not be expended upon green virtue signaling.

Unfortunately, the recently passed infrastructure bill contains money to bribe school districts into using the most expensive option.

I wonder how many Congress critters own stock in companies that make electric school buses.

  9. In looking at Lion’s site, they indicate that the base model’s range is 100 miles on a single charge.

I’d hazard a guess that at that rate, the average McHenry County school bus would have to be charged every other day.

That means a lot of extra labor to rotate your fleet to chargers every night to ensure each one has a sufficient charge for the next school day.

It also means you have to buy/maintain a lot of expensive charging stations to service a large fleet (eg. D-47 and
    D-155).

Lion’s site mentions assistance in finding grants/subsidies/etc. to offset what may be a very expensive purchase.

Many districts actually lease their fleet because they don’t have the fund balance to outright purchase expensive buses nor the desire to incur the increasing maintenance costs on a vehicle once it reaches about 4 years in age.

There was no mention of a leasing program.

  10. JT brings up good points. Anything, anything that would benefit China over the U.S. should, must be rejected. They are evil and unfortunately we in the U.S. have become too dependent upon their manufactured goods. Many other factors including some such as in professional basketball, a child’s game, kowtowing to the Chinese.

  11. Oh I can’t wait to see the battery bill costs on these pigs… and how much eons polution they are emitting… or when a spark sets the chi town on fire…

  12. It’s been told to us by the corrupt in DC our whole lives. They are just doing it so slowly we are the proverbial frogs in the pot of warm water with government at the controls of the temperature knob. That’s all this electric vehicle and Covid BS is about. I really wish some on this board would wake up that we are getting close to the precipice and are at the hands of every corrupt county clerk as the keepers of our republic every 2 years. There are some that are not corrupt fortunately.

Then there will be those that continue with their cognitive dissonance and tell others how foolish they look. If it takes a fool to educate, I will accept the compliment. For those, may I recommend a New Year’s Resolution. Don’t watch the MSM for 1 year and tell me how you come out on the other side. LOL.

    Video is 3 minutes long.

  13. JT? Bless your little pea pickin’ heart. It is WAY TOO late for this. They wouldn’t listen for all the years I have been reading this blog. Now, the smell of stink has risen all the way to Heaven. Now, the trauma-based mind-control is complete. The indoctrinated CANNOT come out of their cocoon. You are not looking at a precipice. You are all staring into the abyss. But you yourself JT, will find that no good deed goes unpunished. God bless you.

  14. Donโ€™t have enough drivers for busses now, so why do we need electric buses.

  15. LOL Cindy. I know you get it. The only task is to try and continue to wake people up. The intelligent (as you call them idiots, keep showing themselves). It’s sick that our future lies county by county in the hands of our county clerks and we have people here that can’t see that and have no clue what has been going on in the elections for decades. It’s not a slam Tirio. Many here like you. I voted for Tirio. No more. Tirio, if you had an ounce of integrity you would explain to us how you vetted those ES&S cheat machines you claim have integrity. There I go again with those fanciful tales and conspiracy theories. I’m glad I have a county clerk to explain my thought processes to me.

I appreciate John and Cal’s input on this blog with regard to the political slime but unfortunately the cognitive dissonance of many posters continues to rule and prove Cindy’s point.

Oh well. As Q-Anon says, try to wake people up. LOL ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ My tinfoil needs adjusting.

And Correcting and Martin I’m still waiting for your response to the Paper’s Please post. Do you still think income taxes on wages are legitimate? Correcting if you respond can you try and keep it to 3 paragraphs.
