Structure Fires

On January 11, 2022, at approximately 9 pm, the McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded to the 6000 block of Barnard Mill Road in Ringwood at C & S Farms for a report of a fire in a barn.

A fire was visible from a large storage barn approximately 65’ x 150’ in size on arrival.

Crews began an aggressive attack on the fire and requested assistance from several surrounding agencies using the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS).

There were no fire hydrants, so water had to be brought in using water tenders.

The fire was at an operational dairy farm, so livestock had to be transported away from the scene using transport trailers from other facilities during the incident.

Equipment from Richmond, Spring Grove, Wonder Lake, Fox Lake, Crystal Lake, Wauconda, Woodstock, Fox River Grove, Hebron, Harvard, Marengo, Cary, Huntley, Nunda, Lake Villa, Antioch, and Union along with Twin Lakes and Bloomfield, Wisconsin responded to assist with the fire.
