Gary Rabine Reacts to Aurora Mayor’s Gubernatorial Announcement by Wecoming Him to the Republican Party

From GOP hopeful Gary rabine:

Statement of Illinois GOP Governor Candidate, Gary Rabine, on Mayor Richard Irvin’s entry into the Illinois Governor’s race.

Woodstock, Illinois – Gary Rabine, candidate for Illinois Governor is issuing the following statement on Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin’s entrance in the gubernatorial race.

Gary Rabine and Chuck Sturges at the Dundee Township Republican Picnic.

“I would like to welcome Aurora Mayor, Richard Irvin, to the governor’s race and to the Illinois Republican Party.

“After years of pulling Democratic primary ballots in years when Pat Quinn, Hillary and Joe Biden were top of the ticket, I am interested to hear what changed your mind on party affiliation.

“Equally compelling will be your explanation on supporting sanctuary cites and your effusive praise for Governor Pritzker.

“But I guess that’s what campaigns are all about.

“I am a life-long, conservative Republican.

“I am pro-life, pro-gun and a fiscal hawk.

“I founded my now nationwide business in Illinois shortly after I graduated from high school.

“I have supported the Republican Party, conservative candidates, and the promotion of fundamental freedoms for decades.

“Just last week, I was one of the lead plaintiffs in the lawsuit that successfully stopped the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandate in the United States Supreme Court

“I was one of the largest donors in Illinois to the Trump campaign and I have never voted in a Democratic Primary.”

Rabine, 58, is a business builder and Chairman of The Rabine Group of companies, father of four and grandfather of three. He and his wife grew up and raised their family in Lake and McHenry County, Illinois. Gary Rabine Reacts to Aurora Mayor’s Gubernatorial Announcement by Wecoming Him to the Republican Party — 15 Comments

  1. Rabine is a fool, of that there is now no doubt.

Irvine is an enthusiastic BLM supporter, among other very questionable traits.

  2. This is the guy (Rabine) who gave money to Ed Burke, right? LOL

    Sullivan supported Obama.
Rabine has made a bunch of donations to Dems, including some of the worst, like Burke.
Bailey voted in the 08 Dem primary.
    Irvin is a lifelong Democrat.

    This is fun.

  3. Rabine must think this is some kind of “zing” but a better response wouldn’t have had any of that sarcasm.

    Reject sarcasm.

    Return to sincerity.

    This is a serious matter.

I don’t welcome Irvin into this contest at all.

Rabine implies Irvin is not a Republican but says he welcomes him. Why? Why not just say he is not welcome instead of the passive aggressive swipe?

If he’s not a Republican why do you welcome him?

For the sake of asking him questions?

No, that’s a waste of time.

    You know he’s a phony.

    I know he’s a phony.

    Everybody knows he’s a phony.

Why do we need to “ask questions” like this is some kind of gotcha game?

You really think you will win the game, Rabine??

You’ll get the chance to ask him questions?

    Where?

    When?

At some dinky debate streamed on some obscure YouTube channel and viewed by a couple hundred people only?

This dude is going to BURY Rabine in terms of money.

It’s not going to be Rabine controlling the narrative and asking questions lol it’s going to be THIS GUY with his funny money from Ken Griffin.

He should be condemned in the strongest possible terms, not jested with.

Rabine is right to call him out as a phony, but then why “welcome” him?

Rabine is at a 3.5 on the strong meter.

He needs to turn it up to an 11.

  4. I thought the snark was OK, a good-natured jest.

That whole “welcome” thing really draws you in, like a tabloid headline. A version of, “ha ha, made you look”.

So, the money won’t match up, but I can’t see any amount of money making Irvin a primary winner. 🤷‍♂️

    ✌️😎

  5. The RINO intelligencia has spoken.

Bailey is the anointed one to be defeated by JB with his buying off of elections.

    Thanks fellas.

Keep up the good work (posts).

  6. A lot of people vote blue until they grow up. What’s the big deal? Most Democrats have the intellect of children, and the merit/accomplishments to match.

  7. BREAKING: Judge Gableman Issues Subpoenas to Voting Machine Companies Including Dominion Voting Machines in Wisconsin 2020 Election Investigation
By Jim Hoft Published January 17, 2022 at 2:25pm

Gableman subpoenaed Dominion Voting Systems and Electronic Systems & Software (ES&S) of Nebraska.

    =====

Bring on the career politician and “family farmer” Bailey.

And Rabine won’t have a clue why he lost the primary in McHenry County since Joe Tirio said our cheating machines are not connected to the intranet. Got it. ES&S is totally trustworthy. Diebold told me so.

  8. Township supporter Gary Rabine should drop out, picks Palatine Road Commissioner Aaron Del Mar as his Lieutenant Governor.

Townships are a Political-Tar-Pit of Corruption, Cronyism, Nepotism, Patronage and Waste!!!

  9. Here we go again.

    1. McHenry County’s votes are paper. How does a computer hack paper ballots? You can just count the paper and easily find mismatches.

    2. You’re already making a convenient excuse as to why Rabine will lose. It’s not because all over the state you see Bailey signs. No, the machines are *rigged* for Bailey! That’s the only explanation! Rabine, who is a nobody throughout most of the state is the *real* winner! Delusional. Why would the “RINO” establishment NOT be endorsing Bailey, NOT pumping money into his campaign, but instead looking to candidates like Sullivan or Irvin if it were Bailey they wanted to win??? If anybody thinks about what you’re saying for a few seconds, they realize it doesn’t make any sense. You might be one of the only people who thinks Bailey is part of the “RINO” establishment. It shows you don’t know anything about Illinois politics. Bailey is hated by the Democrats and the establishment Republicans in Springfield. Nobody is “anointing” Bailey to anything. Some people make predictions which are just educated guesses. It doesn’t mean they are anointing or endorsing anybody. You just said a few days ago Trump wouldn’t be wasting time on Illinois. Maybe that’s because it’s a lost cause? Dan Proft says he likes Rabine but Rabine isn’t running a good campaign. Is Proft a RINO for making that assessment? You’re incapable of comprehending the fact that sometimes candidates you want to win do not win, so the only explanation for you is “rigging.”

    3. How much do school boards pay, JT? At least around here the number is zero. That’s the only elected office Bailey had for a long time. He wasn’t elected to the state legislature until 2018. Hardly a “career.”

  10. Correcting, I know plenty about IL politics FYI. Apparently you took the time to learn about the Diebold, ES&S and Dominion relationship and software being used in IL which I continually provide links to. You and others here are 1 step removed from the real problem.

I’ll give you this that you are very versed in political candidates and I appreciate that input. Not questioning the way we elect people after the 2020 steal means you just have your blinders on. How is it that Dems have held a supermajority all of these years in IL? Unions? Sure I’ll agree. What other help have they had to abscond with our state. I no longer have my head in the sand on that one. I suggest you do the same. There can not be that many fools in this state to keep voting for the same old thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.

I must say when I read the NWH LTE’s I may have negated my last assertion.

Just mind boggling stupidity on display by IL voters.

  11. ^NW Herald’s letters suck for the most part. It’s the same dopes constantly writing letters and it’s very obvious who watches Fox and who watches MSNBC.

I question election integrity, just don’t think there was rigging going on in McHenry County based on my understanding of the process.

The main objectives you should have if you don’t like ES & S are

    1. Find a better alternative to ES & S.
    2. Convince the clerk and/or county board to make the switch.
    3. Find out how much this would cost.

If there is a better system, I have no problem changing it (God forbid we switch to a worse system).

It was the last clerk Mary McClellan who changed the voting equipment.

Up until 2016 the elections were done in a totally different way.

We used to have paper poll books up until then!

I agree with you that the machines are hooked up to the internet or an “intranet.”

    That looks obvious.

You could make the argument that on principle it shouldn’t be hooked up to the internet at all and I’d agree with that too.

I’m just unconvinced it would make a difference since the ballots are paper.

If Piton or anybody else can make a strong case to the contrary, I’ll change my mind.

And I’ll give you this, JT:

I believe Gary Rabine is actually a stronger/better general election candidate than Darren Bailey.

Right now, it just seems that Bailey has the advantage.

That *could* change, but Rabine needs to increase his name ID across the state.

If you look at the events page of different candidates, you’ll see candidates like Schimpf and Roper doing almost nothing, you’ll see Rabine having a few events all in the northwest suburbs, and then you see Bailey with a packed schedule and going all over the state.

Regardless of what people think of Bailey, it’s undeniable that he is campaigning hard.

If Rabine wants to win the primary, he needs to have more events and venture further out into the state, not just in his home turf.

Illinois is a huge state and outside of the Chicago metro area Bailey is popular.

(The comment below is what I came on here to post.)

    ==================================================

At least two Republican candidates are “welcoming” Richard Irvin into the race even though they don’t believe he is a Republican.

Yesterday, McHenry County Blog reported that Gary Rabine “welcomed” Richard Irvin into the gubernatorial primary.

Rabine was not the only gubernatorial candidate to do so. Darren Bailey did as well according to Illinois Review.

Rabine and Bailey say Irvin is a tax raising, pro-abortion, anti-gun Democrat, but they “welcome” him anyway.

    This is upsetting.

Why “welcome” him if he is a phony?

I would prefer a candidate say that Irvin is not welcome.

    https://www.illinoisreview.com/illinoisreview/2022/01/gop-opponents-respond-to-irvin-entry-into-gubernatorial-primary-race.html

Yes, this is just a style disagreement about rhetoric, and Bailey and Rabine both made good critiques of Irvin, but why treat someone like Irvin — with his billionaire hedge fund manager money — with kid gloves?

    “I welcome him BUT he’s not a real Republican because x, y, and z.”

How about, “He’s not a real Republican because x, y, and z, and he should be running in the Democratic primary.”

Hopefully Republican candidates become more assertive.

The time to play nice is over.

  12. **How is it that Dems have held a supermajority all of these years in IL?**

What’s your answer to this question, JT?

    Is it the machines?

    That’s the reason?

  13. Shake, you are Einstein. That’s why I asked the question. I need the most intelligent to inform me. Care to step up?

  14. Ah, JT – the funny thing is that it doesn’t take an Einstein to figure it out.

Its a combination of a lot of things:

1 – IL’s voters tend to vote for Democrats over Republicans
2 – The ILGOP has been a mess for a long time and has put up mediocre candidates
3 – Related to #2, the ILGOP has run lousy campaigns
4 – The maps are drawn in a way to favor Democrats
5 – Democrats have had, for the most part, huge financial advantages in legislative races
6 – Democrats have had union support which doesn’t just mean money, but also volunteers to knock on doors and make phone calls

The combination of these things has led to Democratic dominance in legislative elections.

Or, if you’d prefer, you can just pretend that it is because of the voting machines.

  15. Thanks Shake. I’ll take your response into consideration. Number 1 explains to me why I am looking for property outside of this state. My parents never did vote D and when I told my dad I like Bill Clinton he laughed at me.

The best lesson I ever learned especially when I started making money. Listen to your elders. Well not IL elders in some cases.

It’s like voters in VA now suing Glenn Youngkin for letting them (parents and citizens) make their own decisions regarding masks and fake vaccines as part of raising their kids.

When you sue the government because the gov’t is not telling you how to live your life, that is the sign of the idiots living amongst us in our country.

It’s a really sad state of how psy op’d people have become by the MSM that they need some gov’t idiot to tell them how to live their life.

I suspect you don’t live life waiting for some political fool to tell you how to live your life.

    Re your last statement.

It’s a combination of voting machines, voter rolls and voter procedures including full forensic audits of the voting machines after every election.

As that Halverson guy told me, PCAPs are not real as well as router splunk logs.

What do I know being a retired IT guy who lives his life with tin foil on his head.

    Adams County WI got hacked.

The middle of bumblefrick. Proven through PCAPs. I guess it’s not possible in our county. Just those mid WI hicks are susceptible.

I went back to reread your post one last time and re #2. There are no IL GOP candidates willing to give up their good paying jobs to be a shill to the political class. Well Tirio gave up his insurance job. Being from that industry a very good choice. Someone posted he makes 109k/yr as clerk. I suspect with a pension. Good money.

Do you balance your checkbook Shake? Should we balance our electoral checkbook forensically in McHenry County?

After watching that embarrassing press conference today I think we need to do something. Nevermind, Biden won so we don’t need to pay attention to how that happened.

    Have a good night.
