Drawdown of McHenry County Jail’s ICE Detainees Occurring

McHenry County Shneriff Bill Prim reports that there are 39 in the jail today.

The Federal Appeals Court ruled that the County does not have a good chance of success at overturning Illinois state law banning local governments from jailing ICE detainees, this Chicago Tribue story reports.

“ICE has been notified of the contract termination and are arranging for the remaining detainees to be relocated,” Prim wrote.

Many times in the article, Constable refers to “immigrants” in jail. Perhaps he should have provided data on how many persons from around the world applied for and received paperwork, permission to come to the U.S. What amount of these “immigrants” THEN committed some kind of crime and then were put in jail by ICE.

Also, Constable should have provided data/information on the “immigrants” in ICE jails who came to the U.S. illegally and also might have committed crimes. These people are not simply immigrants, they are “illegal immigrants” and should properly be labelled as “illegal aliens” or “invaders”.
