The only ones with a McHenry County connection are State Rep. Dan Ugaste and Jim Oberweis, who won McHenry County in his race against Lauren Underwood.
Please help me understand, why in the world would anyone support this guy?
He is barely Republican, had no chance of winning, and needs to fix Aurora before moving on.
^Because either Ken Griffin or someone close to Ken Griffin mistakenly believes Irvin is a real threat to Pritzker.
Then they repeat that line, and you’re supposed to accept it and then get on board with whoever they tell you is the “electable” one.
I actually don’t buy their premise that he is the most electable, and even if I did I would *still* be highly reluctant to (and probably would not) vote for him.
This is a guy who has vouched for Pritzker and Underwood in the recent past.
He’s a guy who as late as 2020 or 2021 was a Black Lives Matter supporter.
He’s a guy who almost always votes in the Democratic primary.
He hasn’t stood up for individuals or businesses during the whole length of this pandemic.
He’s a turd.
Republicans need to wake up about Ken Griffin and his deep pockets.
Instead of begging for him to finance them, they should be calling Griffin names and chasing him away metaphorically with pitchforks.
