Leading the crowd at a rally in July of 2020 with the QAnon slogan of “where we go one we go all” lands Tillman on the list with Bobby Piton of QAnon candidates mainstream media uses to track “conspiracy theory” candidates
On July 27, 2020, at a rally U.S. Senate Jimmy Lee Tillman, II (R, Chicago) lead the crowd in chanting the QAnon slogan represented by “WWG1WGA”, “where we go one, we go all”.
Just as fellow U.S. Senate candidate Bobby Piton (R, Geneva) did which landed him on the QAnon candidates list, so did Tillman, and his actions have come back to haunt him.
As previously covered on McHenry County Blog, the QAnon list is tracked by Media Matters for America (MMFA), which keeps a running list of all candidates who’ve somehow identified with anything to do with QAnon, including the use of the “WWG1WGA” slogan in social media, references to QAnon-speak, like “Storm” and “Pizzagate” and anything to do with pedophiles.
Mainstream media, including the Chicago Tribune and POLITICO, reference MMFA’s list frequently.
The recently added entry for Tillman is brief:
“Jimmy Tillman is a Republican candidate running for the U.S. Senate in Illinois. In a video that was uploaded as part of a Facebook ad from another candidate in 2020, he led a crowd in a cheer for the QAnon slogan, including mentioning “all my Anons,” likely a reference to QAnon supporters or to users of the chan message board sites where Q has been based.”
