  1. if jerry evans knows anybody getting rid of a melodica or keyboard i’d be interested.

  2. Lopez and Cal, can you remember some of us up in the sticks got redistricted into IL-10 with the North Shore liberal crowd in Lake County.

I refuse to vote in that election.

    Severino who hasn’t raised squat.

    This is what redistricting does.

Siphons off Northern McHenry Republicans to diminish the other McHenry Republicans votes.

It’s embarrassing to be in this district with the lake shore liberal idiots.

  3. Only people in the county who live in the 11th have one that is not considered safe but it still leans Democrat by at least 6 points. IL-10 is about D+20.

In safe districts you usually can’t even find serious candidates to run because they know it’s a waste of time, energy, and money and they’ll just lose anyway.

Severino toyed with running in 2020 as a Republican and later as an Independent but didn’t ultimately file for either.

So I’m not sure he’s a “serious” candidate, but he’s the only Republican running and even if Republicans had a good candidate they would still lose because of how packed that district is with Democrats.

Usually in a safe district the only way outside of death or resignation that an incumbent leaves is if they lose in a primary.

Typically the person who replaces them is an even bigger ideologue than they were (see AOC and Marie Newman).

That is difficult to do and even more difficult when there is more than one challenger.

    Look at LaHood.

3 Republicans are running against him.

    He’ll win.

Two people called Kim Nowak and Andrew Wang were supposed to run against Bribe Schneider but they did not.

  4. She is afraid Lauf is the future of the conservative wing of the Republican Party.

I live Ives – I voted for Ives.

This choice of hers is based on a bit of personal issues with Lauf and not based on the best interest of the Republican Party.
