24-Year Old Woman Gets Probation Revoked on Attempted Drug-Induced Homicide

CASEY JOHANN SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR ATTEMPTED DRUG-INDUCED HOMICIDE

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that on April 19, 2022, 24-year-old Casey Johann of Wheeling, Illinois, admitted to a Petition to Revoke her Probation for the charge of Attempted Drug-Induced Homicide, a Class 1 felony, before the Honorable Michael Coppedge.   

On September 9, 2021, Johann pled guilty to Attempted Drug-Induced Homicide and was placed on 30 Months of Probation. J

ohann failed to comply with the terms of her Probation.

The investigation was led by Detective Eric Lee of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Police Narcotics Task Force and was prosecuted by Matthew Brodersen and Brette Dunbar of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
