County Treasurer Glenda Miller Endorses Colatorti for Sheriff

From the Tony Colatorti for Sheriff campaign:

Glenda Miller, McHenry County Treasurer, said the following regarding the McHenry County Sheriff:

“It has been my practice as a candidate, and then as County Treasurer, to remain neutral in primary campaigns that did not feature an incumbent office holder. This time my own name will not be on the ballot in the June Primary. I believe it is my responsibility, therefore, as both a retiring Republican Precinct Committeeman and elected County Official, to make my own recommendation to McHenry County Republicans in the contest for County Sheriff.

“After much thought and careful consideration of the candidates’ respective qualifications, I proudly endorse Tony Colatorti for the Republican nomination for McHenry County Sheriff. Eight years ago, then candidate Bill Prim offered a fresh set of eyes after eighteen years of the previous administration.

“Make no mistake, I believe Bill Prim has been a good Sheriff. He is entitled to support one of his top deputies to succeed him, just as his predecessor did eight years ago.

“In my case, I was Chief Deputy Treasurer for eighteen years when I first ran and enjoyed the support of the outgoing incumbent, Bill LeFew. However, it was then, and is now, up to Republican voters to choose the Party nominee.

“I was extremely disappointed to witness the recent attempt to deny those voters that chance. Tony Colatorti will bring a breadth of knowledge and experience to the Sheriff’s Office, in both law enforcement and business. He led two local police departments as Chief and built a successful local business. That diverse background makes him uniquely qualified to manage the personnel and operations of the Sheriff’s Office.

“I have also been extremely impressed by the grassroots support and enthusiasm that Tony’s candidacy has generated among McHenry County Republicans.

“As our party’s nominee, Tony can help grow and strengthen the GOP in McHenry County. I enthusiastically join this grassroots effort, as well as State’s Attorney Pat Kenneally in supporting Tony Colatori for McHenry County Sheriff.”

  1. Ms. Miller would have you believe that had Colatorti’s opponent not met the required qualifications to run for sheriff, Colatorti would have rose above the ‘political fray’ and not filed an objection to his opponents petition for sheriff.

For Ms. Miller’s next round of make believe, the second half of your 2021 property taxes will be forever waived and lost in never never land.

  2. I think what she’s really saying is let the voters.

Who could have a problem with that?

  3. How could she support a part-time former police officer to run a whole county …A breadth of knowledge and experience?

She mustn’t know him at all !

  4. Hi ya good old Billy Boy! Good to see that you picked yet another losing candidate. Regretting your decision yet? Because you sure are running scared.

  5. Anybody can speculate anything about what might have happened in a fictitious past of a fictitious present.

The situation is what it is though.

People filed an objection against Colatorti to get him off the ballot — nobody filed objections against Tadelman (and people do often object for total kangaroo reasons).

The fact that Glenda Miller endorsed Colatorti while the objection to him has been appealed to a judge who hasn’t ruled on it yet says a lot.

She could have waited to see if a judge will overrule the electoral board before getting involved but she did not because that’s how much she likes him.

While she isn’t running for re-election, if the judge overrules the board it would at least be a little embarrassing for her but she did it anyway, so I don’t know how you can try to paint her as opportunistic or hypocritical given the reality of the situation and when she stated she hasn’t gotten involved in past primaries.

She has nothing to gain from this and can only potentially lose a little bit of clout/credibility as a soon-to-be retired official if Colatorti is removed.

It sounds like Tadelman’s supporters are getting worried because this isn’t the cakewalk they thought it was going to be!

  6. why would any elected offical support an unqualified, unemployed, unethical hmmmmmm

She says she’s not running again, if she were, i wonder if she’d stay neutral. maybe Kenneally and her share closet space for their skeletons

  7. Correcting has hit the nail on the head.

As for endorsements, keep a sharp eye out, you will see news being made right here in good old McHenry CO.

  8. What does she know about law enforcement to give an endorsement?

Who does the County Dog Catcher endorse?

  9. He led two local police departments as Chief…

What is the population of Holiday Hills and Prairie Grove?

What is the population of McHenry County?

  10. Who cares what she says?

These endorsements mean very little, ecept perhaps as a clumsy way to gauge public opinion, ie., the endorsers wants to go with the perceived winner.

Why can’t Tadelman be asked what are his relationships to Jacko Franks and convicted pedophile sherrif sgt. Greg Pyle?

  11. Still not known whether or not one of the objectors to Tony even had standing here in McHenry County to bring the objection.

  12. Dobie, Glenda Miller is a County Elected official who has been a colleague of Prim’s for 8 yrs. That’s something.

If you think only Law Enforcement endorsements count, I’m pretty sure Colatorti has Tadelman beat! Colatorti’s Law Enforcement endorsements are his peers from our county. Unlike Tadelman who has Prim’s friends from other counties that don’t even know Robb. People aren’t stupid.

Morale is at an all time low within the Sheriff’s Dept . So much so that Colatorti has about 90% of the Sheriff’s Dept support. It grew by 5% over Tadelman’s trying to get Colatorti off the ballot. The board unanimously ruled in Colatorti’s favor. Tadelman’s appeal to yet again get Colatorti off the ballot just may cinch a near 100% support for his opponent within the Dept.

Colatorti should do a black screen/voice changing interview with all the Sheriff’s Dept insiders that support him. I’ve heard stories, all of which can be corroberated thru FOIA’s already obtained.

  13. What do most, all police officers in McHenry County Sheriff Dept think about Colatorti and Tadelman?

Who do they think would be the best leader?

They know more about both of these guys then does an average citizen in the County.

  14. From the bunch I’ve talked to they’re all behind Colatorti.
