McHenry County’s Share of J & J Opoid Settlement Is $3.41 million

McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally has informed McHenry County Blog that the county’s share of of J & J opoid settlement is $3.41 million.

What’s to be done with it?

“My idea is to invest the money with Glenda Miller and pay out a portion of the interest annually to treatment providers.

“That way, this can be a source of support for years/decades to come.

“We are working on a resolution in that regard for the County Board, and we’ll see what they do with it. ”

  1. Kenneally can’t even count that high and likely failed the Bar Exam several times before getting the minimum passing score. He thought the exam was at ‘The Red Mill’ the first time.

  2. With the 10 year T-Bill at about 3%, that seems to be a good idea PROVIDED they don’t do like the state and spend the principle earning the interest.

Mark my words the libs on the board will want to spend spend spend.

  3. How about funding mercenaries to attack the fentanyl cartels since the CIA is profiting from the drug smuggling now that they list their opium plantations in Afgh.
