I guess it was obvious that McHenry County Clerk was endorsing Tony Colatorti for Sheriff by his appearance at Colatorti’s Back the Blue rally last Thursday, but, if it wasn’t, here is a written statement:
In addition, the Lake County Sheriff’s Department union endorsed Colatorti.

A commenter asked, “Are 501(c)(3) organizations prohibited by law from endorsing political candidates?”
Commenter NefariousShake replied, “Yes.”
The question remains as to whether the FOP is a 501(c)(3) organization.
“Colatorti”
Note that the union president is running for Sheriff in Lake County.
Are 501(c)(3) organizations prohibited by law from endorsing political candidates?
Thanks, Citizen Editor.
**Are 501(c)(3) organizations prohibited by law from endorsing political candidates?**
Yes.
Yet you left last weeks story calling Randy Funk ‘Fund’ and neither corrected it or thanked me for pointing it out Cal.
Which story?
It still says “Colatorte” in the body of the article.
At least I was consistent…consistently wrong.
Why is lopez censoring non-obscene, non-libelous posts?
