CHILD ABDUCTION

On 06/22/2022 at 2059 hours, Harvard Police responded to the 200 W. Roosevelt Street for the report of a missing 16 y/o Harvard youth and her 5 month old son.

It was reported to the Harvard Police that the two Harvard youths were last seen at the Harvard Diggins Library, 900 E. McKinley Street at approximately 1420 hours on 06/22/2022.

An intensive investigation was initiated with the assistance of local police agencies, as well as the State of Indiana Agencies, and also assistance from Federal Law Enforcement.

On 06/24/2022, at approximately 1230 hours, the two Harvard youths and the individual that accompanied them turned themselves in to the Cynthiana, Kentucky Police Department unharmed.

After consultation with the McHenry County States Attorneys Office, Michael A. Walton (m-22 yoa), 859 Roosevelt St Linton, IN 47441 was subsequently charged with one count of Child Abduction, and is currently being held in Cynthiana, Kentucky, awaiting extradition.
