Winners and Losers Thoughts from Long-Time Conservative Activist Grant Noble

Here are his thoughts:

Winners and Losers in the 2022 Illinois Primary

The biggest winner last night was the Internet, which even here in Ill-annoy is now the most dominant force in politics.  The Internet started to revolutionize politics in 2008 when Barrack Obama used it to beat Hillary Clinton’s money, media, a rigged super delegate system and even “Operation Chaos” cross over Republicans.  In 2016, Trump used the Internet through his rallies and social media to beat the media and money of the D.C. Uniparty.  He did it again in 2020—only the greatest vote fraud in U.S. history with millions of votes manufactured after election night “defeated” him.

If Jeanne Ives had used a fraction of the money wasted on Chicago area TV ads on grass roots activities to drive voters to her Internet site, she would have beaten a sitting governor despite the millions he spent on “Ives is a Madigan Republican” smears.

Yes, a few million dollars in mailings spent by the Democrat Party attacking him as “too conservative” did help Bailey.   But his decisive margin of over 57% was largely due to a grass roots campaign using the Internet to spread his message despite about 100 million in direct and indirect contributions (like endorsements) spent against him.

The biggest loser was the Uniparty of Illinois, what John Kass calls “The Combine”.   While Pritzker is dreaming about the White House, there were almost more votes in the Republican primary as the Democrat primary statewide— very unusual and a sign of a lack of Democrat enthusiasm.  The 13 and 17th Congressional districts saw far more Republican votes than Democrat votes despite contested Democrat primaries.  The same pundits who had Richard Irvin winning easily think these districts are sure winners for the Democrats in the fall.

But if anyone can lose to the terrible trio of Biden, Pritzker and Lightfoot, it’s the “Republican” side of the Illinois Uniparty.   Initially, all they saw was Griffin’s money and even intimidated people to get them to endorse Griffin candidates like Richard Irvin:  https://www.theillinoize.com/articles/griffins-gatekeeper-threats-intimidation-promise

In a state where four Governors have gone to jail, I’ve never seen a major candidate as openly sleazy and corrupt as Richard Irvin:  https://illinoisconservativenews.substack.com/p/richard-irvins-political-corruption?s=r    Just a few more of the many examples of Irvin’s corruption and liberal beliefs:

Irvin’s pay roll girlfriends:  https://mchenrycountyblog.com/2022/01/16/irvin121821/  Democrat voting record:  https://stampactpac.locals.com/post/1565253/richard-irvins-voting-record  No good on pro-life: https://www.illinoisreview.com/illinoisreview/2022/02/gop-candidate-richard-irvin-backs-out-of-answering-abortion-question.html   180 degree flip-flop on Pritzker’s “criminal justice” bill:  https://www.chicagotribune.com/politics/elections/ct-richard-irvin-crime-bill-letter-20220322-hwoa7zao2jgc5oqwv6m5amu4iq-story.html   For the House Democrat Gun Control Bill:  https://www.usmayors.org/gun-violence/

I knew all this a few days after Irvin announced with a few hours of Internet search.  Anyone who endorsed Irvin had to know the same thing and thus should never be allowed in Republican politics again.  Exhibit A is “Republican” House Minority “Leader” Jim Durkin.  Durkin and his allies just financed 14 mailings for Arin Thrower, who still lost to Connie Cain in a state representative district now held by a Democrat.

Connie Cain

Sorry, Connie.  There will no money from the “Republican” party this fall to beat the Democrat.  Not only has Griffin left the state, we have the track record of Jeanette Ward in 2020.  She beat a Republican Establishment favorite in the 25th Illinois Senate primary.  Of course, she went on to a lose a close contest in the fall with only token backing from that same Republican Establishment.  No wonder the Democrats have a 41 to 19 majority in the Illinois Senate.

We all know what will happen this fall.  Ever since Goldwater in 1964 right up to Trump in 2016 and 2020, it has always the same game with Illinois Rinos.  They will do a Jeanette Ward on anyone who defeated them like Bailey and await a return to power after the “extremists” are defeated.  Then they can increase taxes and spending. enrich themselves and their friends, including their Democrat friends.

Ogilvie’s 1970 Constitution gave us a three seat Supreme Court Democrat base and the income tax.  Thompson raised taxes, Edgar did little with a legislative majority except a record tax hike followed by Ryan doing the same.  “Pinata” Rauner never proposed a true balanced budget or major pension reform.  Instead he betrayed a promise to stay away from social issues by signing Sanctuary State and tax funded abortion on demand.  Then he did a token veto of a tax hike that Jim Durkin helped to override with no condemnation of Republican traitors like Durkin.  No wonder only 22% of the Illinois voters call themselves Republican.

For the sake of political optics, Durkin will probably, very reluctantly be replaced next year by another Rino hack for “Republican” minority leader.  But other than that, after they help defeat “extremist” Bailey, why should any Springfield Republican change his/her ways?  Just look at Senate Minority Leader  Dan McConchie, the most powerful Lake County Republican.  He got no primary this year despite betraying virtually every promise he made to win his first primary in 2016.

McConchie was a pro-life champion before the 2016 primary.   But he did nothing to help Ives stop tax funded abortion Rauner.  Our out of control immigration system, through crime and lost jobs, is wrecking the very voters that Republicans need to persuade, Black and Hispanic church goers, especially to fight vote fraud in their areas.  In 2014, Rauner hired people to stop vote fraud in Cook County, his statewide margin of victory.  But Dan voted for Sanctuary State.

Public education is a masked, woke nightmare alienating parents in every community, not just Black and Hispanic church goers. “I support the move to expand education vouchers so the money follows the child. I also support the expansion of charter schools.”  That was candidate McConchie.  Senate Minority Leader McConchie?  I looked hard, but I find nothing on this from Dan now.  Even the state of Jeff Flake and John McCain can pass statewide education vouchers:  https://www.kgun9.com/news/local-news/arizona-legislature-approves-school-voucher-program-for-all-k-12-students  But the Illinois Education Association still has an iron grip on both parties in this state.

I emailed Dan asking him to fight the 2020 stolen election.  It wasn’t just “2000 Mules” of swing states but thousands of “votes” after election day to take away Dan Patlak’s and Jim Oberweis’ victories.  His only reply, a January 7, 2021 Sun-Times editorial:  “We must work for the common good and stop perceiving the opposition party as the enemy…I watched in horror as domestic terrorists stormed our nation’s Capitol, threatened the lives of our democratically elected representatives…”

If you want to know why this state is on the verge fiscal bankruptcy and total chaos with a broken power grid, education and crime system, look no farther than the still too complacent Republican primary voter.  As much as I appreciate being able to vote for the first conservative to run as a major party candidate for Illinois Governor in a century, what we need far more is hundreds of Connie Cains to start cleaning out a Republican party from top to bottom that is totally complicit with Biden, Pritzker and Lightfoot.   Until that happens, Illinois will continue to circle the drain, fighting New Jersey as the worst state in country.

John Di Leo gets it, too.

After the Shanes attempt to get him off the ballot and all the “He’s a Democrat” smears, I think Mark Curran will be in no mood to kow-tow to our local Rino Establishment.

For all his flaws, he’s now my
number one priority to get elected this fall.

Unlike Noverini, hopefully he will listen to good advice and beat the liberal woman running against him for Supreme Court.

  2. One positive thing I can say about Curran is that he called out Shanes for alleged Masonic ties.

That was pretty cool of him to do.

Most Republicans wouldn’t touch that one with a 20 foot stick.
