From the McHenry County Coroner:

McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on August 2, 2022 by the Lake In The Hills Police Department at around 10:50 pm to investigate the death of a 17 yr old male.

The decedent was involved in a motor vehicle accident around the 6900 block of Rakow Rd. The minor was then transported to Northwestern Huntley Hospital and pronounced deceased at that time. An autopsy will be performed on August 8.

The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work collaboratively with Lake In The Hills PD, Crystal Lake FD and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office during this investigation.
