The appointment was made by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Michael Burke, appointed to replace elected Justice Bob Thomas.

Mangiamele will have to run for election in 2024, so expect to see her at Republican Party functions.

If one of the Democratic Party women who ran unsuccessfully for Judge in 2020 run against her, Mangiamele appointment will blunt the gender advantage the Democrats had in 2020.

  1. IMHO this Judge doesn’t know her ass from a hole in the ground.

I believe she had the lowest rating ever of a sitting Judge from her Bar profession friends ratings a few years ago and looked like she might be ousted, but it is harder to get rid of a sitting Judge than it is a President.

I believe she had to be taken under the wings of another mentor female Judge just to keep her bench seat warm and was relegated to home foreclosures probably to mitigate her judicial damage.

Now she gets promoted, what an effed up system we have here in this County.

In summary, years ago, my attorney went before her on a Friday with an order to end child support.

Support was already paid in advance for the month as attested to in the order by my ex-wife.

The Judge refused to sign the order on I believe Friday the 29th and told my lawyer to come back Monday the 1st because ” what if your client wins the lottery over the weekend”?

I don’t play the lottery and if I did, I certainly wasn’t going to cash it in and pay 20% to an ex-wife who I had just paid 15 years of child support to already.

Needless to say, a continuance and re-show was costly but this Judge didn’t care, she thought she was out-smarting everybody with her “what if thought”.

My attorney is a female and even she was embarrassed at this decision.

I still don’t play the lottery but every time I see or hear about the lottery on TV, I am reminded of this dumb bitch and want to go scream at her.

Been waiting to see her in a store where I can scream at her without going to jail, she must order from Instacart because I have yet to see her.

Thought about buying a lottery ticket and mailing it to her, but with my luck, it would be the Million dollar winner and she would get the last laugh….again
