Bailey Calls Out Pritzker for Shutting Down Schools

From GOP gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey:

Pritzker Should Apologize to Students and Parents Across the State for Shutting Down Schools, Stealing Precious Memories, and Pledge Never to do it Again

Louisville, IL– As school and sports kicks off across Illinois, Darren Bailey calls on J.B. Pritzker to apologize for unilaterally shutting down schools, decimating education, eliminating sports, canceling graduations, and destroying mental health for our children across the state. J.B. Pritzker shamelessly extended his COVID emergency powers for the 33rd time last week.

Outside a Huntley School Board meeting.

He’s chosen to rule as a tyrant for nearly 70% of his term instead of doing his job and engaging the legislature.

Darren Bailey released the following statement,

“Last week was the start of high school sports.

So many students invest and train their entire lives for the opportunity to take the field and chase their dreams, but sadly, over the last two years, those moments were stolen away by J.B. Pritzker and his unilateral lockdowns.

Never again should we allow this to happen. J.B. shut down schools, decimated education, eliminated sports, canceled graduations, and destroyed mental health.

J.B. owes students an apology. He owes families an apology.

This was unacceptable, and as your governor, I promise you, I’ll keep schools open safely, prioritize the budget to invest in classrooms, and our schools will never be shut down again on my watch because parents and students deserve better.”

  1. Wait for the deflection by Lord Jumbo. “I was following the science”. Wait for it.

  2. As he and his pals dinned at restaurants around Geneva Lake. Maskless

  3. You don’t beg tyrants for your freedom. This is ass backwards. Do NOT comply with illegal bullshit orders!

  4. He’s still ruling as tyrant.

I don’t see any current politicians objecting either.

Get rid of any that never supported the voices of their constituents.
