Victory Geek has only done TWO polls before.
In one, they predicted Susan Collins would lose by 11% (19% off).
The other?
They predicted Richard Irvin would defeat Bailey handily.
Yes, their only two other pols were wrong– which I’d expect, since they are not pollsters.
Why print this graft?
Victory Geek’s poll from July had Pritzker up by about 9 if I recall.
Fabrizio, Lee and Associates had a poll in June with Pritzker up 7.
Victory Research had a poll in July with Pritzker up 10.
You may have good reason to not like Victory Geek. I’m not here to say whether they are good or not, but when you have polls done by different groups and they all show Pritzker beating Bailey and the race not being close, it would be foolish to think Pritzker is not winning. It’s one thing to have one poll that is way off, it’s another thing for all polls to show one candidate leading by a little and then end up losing, but when all polls show a candidate way down it’s safe to assume that candidate will lose.
In the betting market, where people put their money where their mouths are, Pritzker is the favorite. You can hardly make any money betting on Pritzker because that’s how many people are betting on him to win. If you’re confident Bailey will win, you can put up to 850 dollars on him winning, and if he does win you’ll turn that $850 dollars into $14,025 but if you put 850 on Pritzker and he wins you’ll only end up with about 895. PredictIt will take 10 percent of your profit. (Btw Biden is shutting PredictIt down in February, so you might want to get into the market before it closes because this could be the last election for it.) I do not expect Bailey to win and for me the more interesting question is whether he’s going to lose by double digits, not whether he is going to win or lose.
Republicans’ best chance at statewide would be SoS and AG. In SoS race Giannoulias had a bitter primary and he’s already lost a statewide election before and is running against Brady which is a good Irish name. AG last time around Raoul did the worst of all Dem candidates, probably because some don’t want to vote for a guy whose first name is Kwame. Even these are more unlikely than likely.
Darren Bailey with his heavy southern accent is going to terrify voters in suburbia.

This poll reminds me of all the polling that showed Bailey way behind Irvin.
Pritzker barely got over 50% in a great Democrat year in 2018 running against Traitor Rauner.
I doubt if he does much better this year even with his money buying the best vote fraud he can.
If Bailey can carry the Collars, that means the Republicans do well in Congress despite the gerrymandered map and take the Supreme Court.
Bailey should be running a better campaign but at least he fought for us during Covid and I think that will bring out a pretty good anti-Pritzker, anti-Dem vote.
