Monday night about sixty people gatherer at Cary’s Galati’s for a meeting of We the People, McHenry County.
It featured a North Shore League of Women Voters’ forum on Zoom.
Republican Max Rice participated from Galati’s.
It appeared as if Democrat Jan Shakowski was at home in Evanston.
The most telling comment about how much attention McHenry County will receive if Schakowsky is elected came in a question about clean water.
Rice had answered the question first pointing out he would be non-partisan in dealing with the issue.
He also told of how Chicago has one of the highest percentages of dangerous lead pipes for water.
Schakowsky referenced Cook County and how the U.S. Corps of Engineers had stabilized the Lake Michigan shoreline, then said, “I’m now in other counties.”
There only two others, Lake and McHenry, but she did not mention them.
Rice’s best line was in his opening statement:
“You made my life tangibly worse, but I love you.”
“I have all kinds of experience,” Schakowski, one of Nancy Polosi’s confidants, led with.
Discussing allowing the Federal government to take over elections, which Schakowsky favors, Rice pointed out that Schakowsky had filed an objection to the 2004 Presidential election results in Ohio.
Rice added, “I’m for voter I.D. I guess that’s racist.”
Schakowsky pointed out that legislation just passed allows for Federal negotiations with pharmaceutical companies.
{Democrats, of course, had the opportunity to do that when they passed Obamacare in 2010.)
“I’m really proud of myself that I’ve never sold out,” Rice said in his conclusion.
“If you want to vote for Jan Schakowsky, that’s alright,” the standup comedian said.
“The election starts on November 25th.”
He added that Democats were very pro-gun.
“They just want to give them to Syrians and Ukranians.”

The socialists lead by Schakowsky and her friends have driven the country into the ditch.

Jan talked about Trump and abortion and how proud she is of the inaptly named Inflation Reduction Act.
I guess the libs cant talk about issues and have nothing to run on. But the difference between the two could not have been greater.
Two more debate type events to come. But after this one I would not doubt if she changes her mind. We shall see.
