Daily Herald Faceoff of Ness v. Cain — 7 Comments

  1. Both candidates disappointed me on Amendment 1 responses.

Both candidates took their respective party’s stances and tried to make it their own.

It made both candidates look dreadfully unrehearsed.

  2. LOL – Cain’s answer on the Workers’ Rights Amendment was terrible and inaccurate.

She repeats the IPI line about a $2,100 property tax increase, and despite being a “finance” person, she has nothing to back up the assertion (just like IPI hasn’t backed up their assertion).

And then she goes on to claim that this doesn’t apply to private sector workers, which is flat-out false.

Overall, Ness gave a lot of talking points, but Cain went back and forth between badly reading what was written for her or really just not knowing what she was talking about.

    And, seriously?

Cain wants an independent map commission to implement term limits? LOL.

And then Cain literally read her closing statement. 🙄

  3. Ness states Illinois citizens leaving state because of a housing shortage, not sky high property tax bills, or the funding of Illinois’ nation leading 9,000 units of local governments???

    Really?

    Ness’s head is a MESS!

By far, Connie Cain is the right choice.

Vote YES for Connie Cain if you are a resident/voter of the 66th district.

  4. **Ness states Illinois citizens leaving state because of a housing shortage**

No, that’s definitely NOT what she said.

She said the fact that there’s a housing shortage pushed back on the narrative that people are leaving the state.

  5. Ness did connect the movement out of Illinois to a housing shortage.

The redistricting answer she gave was also strange.

Open spaces are the reason district maps are so strange looking?

    Give me a break Ness
