UPDATE: Is Kelli Wegener Ready to Re-Ignite the Title X Give Birth Control to Teens without Parental Consent County Board Fight?

There is no one left on the McHenry County Board who endured the mid-1990’s fight resulting from the North Junior High School teacher William Saturday’s sexual relations with a former student when she was in high school.

That resulted in nationwide coverage and Congressional interest.

Now, the Northwest Herald, in its coverage of the rally in favor of abortion on Route 14 Friday, reports on Democratic Party McHenry County Board member Kellie Wegener thusly,

“McHenry County Board member Kelli Wegener, who said she was ‘upset’ but ‘sadly not surprised’ by the decision, said she plans on looking into Title X service grant funding for family planning and health care at the county level.

“She said McHenry County was one of six counties in Illinois to not take the funding.”

It was found that the teacher was too cheap to buy condoms or didn’t want to use them.

He drove the girl to Woodstock where she received a shot of the birth control drug depro-provera, a three-month ovulation suppressant.

Under rules for the financing of Title X grants, which the County then accepted, parental permission was not required.

There is no lower age limit, although there is no indication that was Congress’ intent.

There was an active and successful effort to kick Title X out of McHenry County.

On the Personal PAC questionnaire, McHenry County Board candidates are asked the opinion on accepting Title X money.

More of the issue is explained in this 2012 article:

  1. This is outrageous! – but WORLD “magazine” is trash.

To suggest it’s a legitimate journal is a laugh.

It’s more like KOOKS writing weirdo stuff to be a looney as possible.

    It’s a joke.

Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

  2. Having a former Jr. High teacher groom a student and their carry on an affair with the help of the McHenry County Health Department’s Title X program was no joke.

  3. She is not.

Last job I remember was handling books for CL Congregational Church.

  4. Killing innocent babies is a high priority for this rank county board member.

    Sick.
