CL Chamber Promoting Democrat Bill Foster a Week Before the Election — 17 Comments

  1. I’ll be there to ask the business expert Foster, questions I have, on my merger of Illi-Butt and McHenry Spinxter.

Mainly if the Illinois LLC name ASSCO is available in the registry

  2. Since when does a individual chamber start endorsing candidates?

I would pull my membership instantly!

  3. The Chamber of Commerce is a left wing organization.

Not far-left Marxist like decrepit Foster, but very lefitist – enough to essentially endorse his old, feckless, failed, morbid ass.

They want open boarders and liberal social policy.

They have been the biggest fraud for 2-3 decades.

Now they openly support and promote a failed, weak, feeble, disaster who is destroying the middle class and America right along with it.

The CL Chamber, like all “Chambers”, are golfing-buddy, elitist BUSH Republicans – which is the level just below RINOs on the scale of failed losers.

  4. To be NON-PARTISAN, the Chamber should be providing a similar “Coffee” event for other candidate(s) for Rep in the 11th Congressional District.

  5. but they will do what they can to help a lib… we all know that…

  6. Foster is a dying man, but pigs like him, Biden, Clinton, Fetterman, Fuckworth, etc., hide their v. Serious medical pathologies.

  7. The Crystal Lake Chamber Commerce is a nonpartisan organization.

The Crystal Lake Chamber Commerce does not support or endorse any candidate or any party for any office, as the flyer clearly states.

The chamber will and does, however, welcome ALL currently elected sitting legislators in our district to host a coffee event with us.

The goal of a coffee with a sitting legislator is for constituents to meet the elected official and have an opportunity to ask questions and hear about goals for the area.

Bill Foster is the only current legislator who has requested one in the past year.

If you have any further questions regarding how to host a coffee with your legislator event please contact the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce.

  8. Bill Foster is not a “currently elected sitting legislators in our district.”

  10. Chamber Staff, your timing stinks.

Doing an event like this with a political candidate ONE WEEK BEFORE the general election is sus.

The fact that you are on Cal’s blog doing damage control is admission something is awry.

  11. Chamber Staff, the member of Congress for the 11th Congressional District does not become, “currently elected sitting legislators in our district” until 11AM CST on January 3, 2023, when the new 11th Congressional District boundaries are implemented with the swearing-in of the 118th Congress.

Until 10:59AM CST on January 3, 2023, Congressman Sean Casten and Congresswoman Lauren Underwood represent McHenry County for their respective districts.

If you’re going to keep to your policy, the wiser course would be to postpone Congressman Foster’s visit until after January 3, on condition he wins reelection next month.

To hold the Foster visit prior to Janaury 3 will create this event as a political event, and not an official visit.

  12. ok- News flash- Chambers of Commerce are 501 c 6 and by definition are designed to be political.

Most of your readers are neither members nor business owners.

At one time – the Crystal Lake Chambe held great influence on behalf of business towards our elected officials- at every level municipal through federal.

This isn’t new and interestingly you never had an issue when Peter Roskum was presenting.

    Or Alan Skillicorn.

Stop yourself Cal- you know better.

  13. Foster is not now an elected official representing any part of McHenry County.

The two elected officials you mention were.
