66th District Candidate Cain calls on opponent to support General Assembly involvement in vaccination mandates and Emergency Orders

Gilberts: State Representative Candidate in the 66th District, Connie Cain, is calling on her opponent State Representative Suzanne Ness to support legislation that requires the Governor to come to the legislature for Emergency Order extensions and vaccine mandates.

Cain is opposed to the vaccine mandates and supports codifying a requirement for any governor, Democrat or Republican, to seek support from the General Assembly for Emergency Order extensions.

“I am calling on Representative Ness to support legislation that would require any governor of any party to come to the people’s representatives for extensions of Emergency Orders.

“Here in the Land of Lincoln and one party rule we have simply allowed a vast overreach of authority on the part of our governor.

“The legislature simply looked the other way and allowed this abuse of power,” said Connie Cain.

“I am also calling for legislation that requires the governor to come to the legislature and plead his case for vaccine mandates.

“Many executive officers from the Governor on down required government employees to be vaccinated.

“Tremendous pressure was applied to employees to get vaccinated including the threat of job loss and ostracization.

“This blunt use of force became an example for many private sector businesses who began applying the same methods,” said Cain.

“We all understand the need to be cautious when a new and unknown life-threatening pathogen begins sweeping through the population, but 35 consecutive Emergency Orders is an admission that you really don’t know what you are doing.

“The legislature needs to step in and bring many more views into the mix so that we don’t become subject to one man,” said Cain.

Connie Cain resides in Gilberts with her husband Rich.

She is a veteran of the United States Army.

  1. Lot of truth in that statement.

No Governor should have this kind of power and be able to shield the general assembly from taking a position and voting.

Cain really is the “Real Deal”

  2. Covid Vaccine mandates for children will be a big thing in 2023.

Lots of $$$ being spent by the drug companies with the lobbyists currently.

Illinois will be a perfect state to implement public school immunization protocols.
