From Republican District 5 McHenry County Board candidate Terri Greeno:
I’m Terri Greeno. A wife, mother, grandmother, business owner, and patriot. I’m running for McHenry County Board District 5.
Rising prices and rising crime are real and taxes keep going up. I understand that. I deal with it every day just like you.
I pledge to take your concerns and work for solutions for McHenry County.
I’ll keep our county safe by supporting the rule of law, keep the county portion of your property taxes in check, and grow a strong economy through the sensible economic development.
I will represent you with integrity, transparency, and hard work.
I oppose the SAFE-T Act which becomes law 1/1/23.
It needs to be repealed.
My opponent publicly supports it and voted against McHenry County Board’s Resolution Opposing it.
I oppose decriminalizing possession of lethal amounts of fentanyl to Misdemeanors, IL HB 3447. My opponent abstained from voting for McHenry County Board’s Opposing Resolution!
McHenry County is one of three counties in the State of IL that is debt free, and I intend to keep it that way.
My opponent worked to get the ICE contract canceled by the State legislature and is proud of her actions that injure the county’s strong financial position.
She suggests the county take on debt to replace revenues lost due to unfunded mandates forced on us by our State Legislature.
I represent fiscal responsibility.
She represents higher taxes.
I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 8th.
