Second Thursday Foster Mailing

Campaigns certainly don’t plan to have more than one mailing hit the same day.

Bill Foster’s had two mailing in mailboxes on Thursday.

One is below.

Here is the othee:

  1. We are in the Space Age.

Today’s reality is that a personal, well-grounded knowledge of STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics) is vital, in order for a young person to be able to survive and thrive today, and have a future, tomorrow.

I am a space physicist & solar/jovian radio astronomer, with a strong emphasis on RF engineering and aerospace engineering.

I was raised in McHenry County, in SW Coral Township.

I worked at Fermilab on the DZero proton/anti-proton collider detector experiment, muon system, during the same period of time that Bill Foster worked on the competitor Fermilab experiment known as CDF.

In addition to working on the DZero muon system proportional drift tube chamber electronics, I worked shifts in *this* control room, monitoring the operation of the DZero detector:

Meanwhile, Bill Foster worked on CDF:

I want our children and grandchildren to have even better opportunities in science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) than I did.

I also want to make sure that the opportunities that I *did* have, don’t go away, for our young people, if we elect to Congress a person who is neither a scientist nor engineer, and who does not recognize the significance of these two major world-class scientific research parks to the economy & intellectual treasure of our Northern Illinois region.

I recognize the great value of both Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (“Fermilab” or FNAL) and Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) to our whole Northern Illinois region.

If the people of McHenry County are willing to work with me, I am confident that I can work with Bill Foster to extend the missions of these STEM research facilities physically into McHenry County, to make it easier for our own McHenry County residents to access data, and to participate and learn, and to stimulate the establishment and growth of our own tech R & D and engineering/industrial corridor.

Therefore, I personally endorse Bill Foster for Congress in our 11th congressional district.
