Yesterday, based on the FOIA reply from the Village of Lakewood, I wrote an article with the headline
No Interest Expressed in Lakewood’s Clubhouse Leaseback Request for Proposal
On November 2nd, I filed a Freedom of Infomation request with the Village of Lakewood asking for “documents which show the attendees in the pre-RFP briefing session.”
Today, I received the following reply:
There is a Village Board meeting tonight at 7 at the Crosspoint Lutheran Church.

UPDATE
At last night’s meeting, I asked if the conclusion I drew from the FOIA reply meant that no one was interested in bidding.
Unlike most area public bodies, Lakewood officials actually answer questions.
Village Administrator Jean Heckman replied my assumption was incorrect, that potential bidders did not have to attend the pre-bid briefing session.
She said that thirteen firms had made inquiry.
As I was leaving the microphone used for public comment, Village President David Stavropoulos asked if I were going to correct my article.
This is the correction.
Like duh Cal, these idiots could screw up a one car funeral.
